Yikes. You must have really been hurting for things to do while on hiatus. Train 48  -- glad for your sake that you are back!

Just to answer the OP . . . .

er, it was . . .

hmmm, never mind

[QUOTE=galambo]

your arugments have so much holes in it that you can fly an airbus through it. :p
Of course when one does not see the "light" of your wisdom their arguments are full of holes.......better than being full of sh!t  and at least understanding the argument AND not changing course to suit your purpose, which is to harngue. You came to the right place.

and your response, as usual, is a personnel attack. And i guess you have a rought time reading, because as i stated before (and you choice to ignore it just to TRY to insult) I work for a large US software company... HARDLY ON THE GRAVY TRAIN.
Yep, you can play on an anonymous BB and claim you are the Prime Minister.......but your answers tell me otherwise.

By the way, most people don't mind being called a socialist. Its not an insult, even in my case your evaluation is incorrect.
Well it is an insult to me; I think socialism can be the ruination of our society

(heck you have shown you don't even know what a socialist is to begin with) But your flawed thinking about most things are off base to begin with.
And, of course your answer above is objective and reflects deep thinking while mine are personal insults.....Get lost.

To bad that is not what i said. but then again you have shown that you don't actual think/read the posts anyways, given your blinder approach to reponses here. But then again I don't care what you think

for once you at least have said something that is truthful. THAT IT IS YOUR OPINION. But unfortantly your blinder approach to everyone/everything else denies any debate on the issue. SInce this is where deabtes happen, that is dialog... no you want name calling instead.

can't take the heat in the BB, so your only repsonse is 'get lost'

gee what an 'inteligent' debating point. And by the way... i figured that the only way you would actual read/understand the posts is if I go DOWN to your level (way down). The most common demoninator.

you expect respect, you need to earn it first. But because you came out insulting everyone you felt like, now you don't like it if it is returned to you.... such a 'mature' ideal

just a note to everyone else.

awhile ago parnel posts a response that basicly said that this BB is getting 'boring' (to paraphase) because there was not enough action. That is not enough rough and timmble debate.....

it seems that the only debate he knows is one where names calling and insults abound. Its boring otherwise.

people like this have very little in actual ability to debate, or don't know what debates are actually are. They beleive that anyone who come here and does not 'kiss the ground they walk on' have some problems and thus they are free to berate/insult/etc them,

they figure they 'win' not because they have any valid points but the 'drive' the debates from the discussion.

Well he may have been successful in that respect, as he notes that this BB seems to be less 'active' lately, but in reality the opposite is true. Showing his colours only show everyone who he really is. A bully

Wow. That's a pretty big leap. I would choose to disagree, I can't imagine anyone I know wanting to be called a socialist. But I could well be wrong about "most people". Source?

I'd also suggest being real careful with posts like your last one. A little thing called TOS that gets us in trouble sometimes.

Is it still missing? I wonder if I will ever really notice. Nah. Not likely.

you are right... but a person like that only understands that type of posts.

as for the subject on hand...

CBC has a differnet market approach then the commercial networks. Items that you would never see on the commercial networks is like the mini-series about refugees and slavery shown last year. Thier news bureaus are far far more then the other networks, who rely on american news feeds. In toronto the most popular morning show on radio is the CBC and there are reason why.

Some of the canadain shows deleveolped by the CBC would never run with others. Though there are some lousy shows there are some that are very good, and are being shown in various other countries as well.

Wonderland,
inquest,
Red green show (not my style, but very very very popular)
etc.

the commercall networks develop low risk shows

canadain idol (only that much worse then american idol)
train 49 (actual while i don't watch it, not bad in terms of orgininality, content) But very rare for global to do anything that actual is 'good' stuff
etc.

its about having a choice.... and that is what CBC does do, very well.

We are dealing with a big ol gino here who is flexing his FT muscles in a most illiterate way

You haven't added anything intelligent to the debate that I can see

Right on **#*## :D

Get lost with the stupidity;I've had more debates in my life that have gone on for long long periods of time but with people who knowm the subject. My styke is my style and it won't change and you'll be the last person to affect the style, so have fun trying

they figure they 'win' not because they have any valid points but the 'drive' the debates from the discussion.
BS

Yep, you have created the most wondeful debating style I've seen in a long time  and the readers are pouring in from all over the CBC

Showing his colours only show everyone who he really is. A bully
My colours have been here for several years and I'm still standing because I'm a 'bully'. One more time......get lost

gee i am 'impressed' with your 'inteligent' response.

but then again we shouldn't expect anthing else. But it does prove my point over and over again.

So you've been here for 32 posts and the majority of them have been a
p!ss!ng contest with me and virtually none on travel or about AC. You should ask for honorary membership on Omni where your drivel belongs.
The CBC thread is a little distraction but the real purpose here is travel and Aeroplan. So, once more...get lost!!

Yes, Parnel otta know, he's been booted of FT more times than anyone else on the AC forum, and keeps returning like the monster at the end of a horror movie!

Just caught a wonderful item on a repeat of CBC's AIR FARCE which was a perfect Parnel parody. Segment based on a one-man FOX/CNN-style commentary "screed show" called ALWAYS RIGHT, featuring Less Morely. Topic happened to be all the taxes and fees added onto airline ticket prices.

As to the nature of our newbie's posts, give the guy a break and a chance to deal with some travel issues. Between Simon and Parnel he's been mugged on each occasion for trying to make a rational argument in response to their irrational name-calling tirades. I am sure Parnel'd like to take the guy on over in OMNI, but must realize one must have a certain number of posts to enter those hallowed halls. Afterall, that's where Parnel has racked up most of his posts, and aside from calling me names for two years, gotten most times out.

We try to keep this a civil zone, but some people just cannot keep on topic and out of TOS violation.

Is the actual number a secret? I have been unable to find out.

Less often than the wizard of OZ!! I know you'd like to see me gone David so no one would call you on the many inaccuracies you post here quite frequently. I'll be like a bad dream to you for a long time to come ;) but we can still drink beer together.

I watch documentaries so that I can fall asleep easily. I'm not always right but I am well right of you. Talk aboiut personal insults

We didn't invite him to post his drivel here. If you post something stupid here you can expect a response......you see my responses frequently ;)

Inaccuracies again; the more than vast majority of my posts are right here on AC and other travel related threads. You can check if you like and in fact you should before posting more inaccuracies. Calling you out for your innaccuracies for THREE years has been more fun than you can imagine and I get more encouraging PM's about those than anything else because most people think you are a little too pompous which most of us who know you personally know to be true :D .

We try to keep this a civil zone, but some people just cannot keep on topic and out of TOS violation
YES sir!! but agent provocateurs are rampant here, right David?
