We should all be thinking of going back to school to earn our Executive MBA specializing in Business Travel so we can try to gain a better understanding of the theory behind this vast amount of fare class information...Empress will be our professor.

Booking code for Economy is usually Z. Booking code for Business is C. You're not supposed to earn miles even if you're in C class, but as you know, that's not always how it works!

Actually, you're not supposed to get advance seat selection on TANGO fares.

Actually it's more about understanding how yield management works, then you'll get a good understanding of all the fare types.

Another friendly bump, although it might be good to note that now that SE/E can upgrade all the way down to Q and L fares on SSWU...

Thanks for this Empress, it's very helpful. If I have any questions, I'll just call you/SE desk in the middle of the night!

It's ok, just keep on calling me after hours and watch those late night surcharge add up on your month end Empressplan statement and interest rate is 5000 Aeroplan points deducted from your account per day.

I am booking a ticket YYZ to ORD in N class, and wondering if I could get status miles and segment credit. As mentioned on aeroplan.com, Aeroplan Miles accumulated on Tango fares (E, N, T booking classes) do not count towards Aeroplan top-tier status, but not sure if this is only for domestic flights.

Thanks,

No such thing as Tango fare on transborder flights yet. So N wil continue to earn status miles/segment on transborder flights for now.
