FFers know a strike is part of flying any member with status huffing and puffing about leaving AC because of the strike is either blowing hot air, or not the kind of customer an airline is sad of losing.
Any promo would be geared towards the infrequent traveller who got their vacation or trip to see family disrupted.
A promo for SQX multiplier would have almost zero ROI. I suspect 25% off base fare. Which, from the flights I just booked worth about 10% of a standard Y ticket on a TATL flight.

Here's hoping that there will be some promotion. That being said, some prices already seem to be low. Was able to book YYZ-YYJ-YYZ in October for less than $500 (Comfort) That being said, it's ROUGE, but at least direct both ways, Really hoping for double SQM or SQD on this one.

If they want me to open my wallet they need to offer something soon. I've got some trips that I'm reluctant to book now, fearing I'll miss out on something big.

AC CSR team is currently quite overloaded so I doubt they will drop anything before the get the whole rerouting mess sorted. The last thing they need now is more people calling in and any well intentioned promotion will lead to more call in traffic, even if the majority of people book online.

"Don’t snooze on 20% off hotel stays and car rentals" email with promo code received from Aeroplan about an hour ago.
We never want you to miss a chance to save big. Save 20% in points on your next hotel stay or car rental when you redeem 50,000+ points, but only until Aug. 28, 2025.
Use promo code VOYAGE20 at checkout.
If that's it, I'm not impressed.

I'm guessing they do a no-promo code require "promotion" combined with another "see your bonus" up to 5x aeroplan points for bookings flown before Dec 31.
Highly doubt we will see an SQX promo.
I've re-qualed for SE already and will likely be a 75k at max next year, so I wouldn't mind a 5x points deal. Great ROI on those combined with 3x on the Reserve and PR power while miles still = points.

IMHO, AC has a tonne of work to do with its customers. A major promotion would be a start.
The strike gave me the opportunity to experience the competition and I have learned the grass is truly greener elsewhere.
I write this from 4A of a Jazz flight from LGA to YYZ with poor service at the airport and onboard while I am again asking why I bother to send money to this airline.

Agreed . . . but after my last three AC flights which have just included bad food, bad hard product, and (while enthusiastic) ultimately bad service I'm not holding my breath. I think more likely the airline will return to its approach of: We're Canada's largest airline - where else are you going to go?
