100% Air Canada Voucher - DEAD looking for info

Did anyone here manage to get to use this coupon code before it expired (PJTX87Q1)? It seems to have expired at Midnight EST December 31st and it seems to have zeroed the air transportation charges meaning you only had to pay taxes, fees, and charges.

Some sample images from a friend and from a fragment of a Reddit post that was deleted.

Just curious if anyone was able to capitalize on this or if anyone knew anything about its origins.

P2 and another friend did. I'm left to walk to Asia. Couldn't get it to work at all...

Somehow booked a round trip from Toronto to Tokyo with some friends but fully expecting it to be canceled by AC. Don't know much about the code but it expired so quick that one of our friends there couldn't book it even though we were all trying at the same time.

This sounds like history repeating itself.
A 100pc off code meant for a secret shopper hired by AC, but the code has been shared when it shouldn’t be.

If it’s too good to be true, doesn’t pass the smell test, your gut tells you it’s wrong, it’s wrong.
I know how this story ends

Yeah, fully expecting a cancellation but will update here what they decide to do. Any idea how long it will take them to cancel (if they end up doing it)?

How being met at aircraft door upon arrival, escorted to an interview room, being questioned and so on?

contact Customer Care

Have an AC discount code which has expired? Send the details to Customer Care. They will replace. I know, I have done it.

Is this a joke? Email customer service to ask them to replace a 100% off coupon that wasn’t meant to be shared and that AC canceled immediately after finding out it was being shared….

It means AC could cancel these tickets any time up until they're flown, although they'll likely do it much sooner.

What confirmation? The automated confirmation that gets sent as soon as a booking gets completed? That should not be taken as confirmation that AC will honour this booking. As @taupo said, this was clearly not meant to be made public (although it may have been for some purpose other than secret shopping), and anyone who made a booking should expect their ticket to be cancelled.
