No.

Unless it is some sort of special ticket such as AC for Business tickets. But ordinary tickets are non-transferable.

Thats not entirely true. The official name change policy for travel agency is here. Intra-canada tickets can be transferred to a new name for a fee or free, depending on the fare brand.
That said, the process involves creating a new PNR so I suspect fare difference would apply.

Edit: At a closer look the policy pdf refers to tickets before 2023-01-11, so its probably a covid period policy. There is no published official policy for non-corporate bookings for now, but I think latitude domestic ticket is name changeable.

Name change and transferability are often confused, but not the same. When name change has been allowed, the ticket is re-priced to current fare, change fees charged if applicable, PLUS name change fee if applicable. The purpose was to allow the existing value of a non-refundable ticket to be used by someone else, but the tickets are definitely non-transferable (otherwise people would start re-selling tickets). Some corporate contracts may have specific transferability rules for their tickets.

Name corrections are also handled differently.
Bohemian1, Adam Smith and JacFlyer like this.

Does anyone have a link to this info on an Air Canada web page/document?
