Where: On your computing device. Anything with a Zoom client. https://zoom.us/download - You probably want "Zoom Client for Meetings" or "Zoom Mobile Apps".

When: Saturday August 9 2025 @ 1700 PDT / 2000 EDT / 2130 NDT - We will likely go quite late, typically ending after 0100 PDT.

The link will be the same every week. We don't need a list, many people will be here. Just add your name if you want the link PM'd to you around 1630 PDT before the do.

Suggestion: Please include your forum handle (and optionally your name) when logging onto Zoom.

Please send me the same link as last week:

This was taken at my brother's place in Rattling Brook, NL a couple of days ago. Enjoy your canoe trip!

Damn, we were just talking about the Snowbirds on the virtual Do, last night. One of them just crashed in Kamloops.

I was getting pretty worried when it went totally nose-down, until I saw the ejection. Hope they're okay.

Looks like one of them landed on a roof. The ejections looked like they were pretty low. Hopefully, the parachutes opened sufficiently quickly.

So next week, I will be partially pre-occupied. I can certainly start the zoom, but I'll need to transfer host-ownership to someone. They can then continue transferring it throughout the night.

I may hop back on throughout it as well.

I'm sure we'll figure it out. I'm happy to shoulder the burden for a while

Stayed until 3:00 am ADT. Pretty good for an old maritimer!

\Really pleased to get up 4 hrs later to try to book a tee time, only to have the res system crash repeatedly and when it finally worked (40 mins later) it tells me I am not eligible to book a tee time.

I guess someone figured out that I haven't paid my dues yet!!

Sadly it sounds as though there were two pilots onboard, but only one survived RIP

I saw that. The one that did survive has sustained serious injuries, so tragic!

This is so sad, particularity as it is totally avoidable. There have been many crashes previously and one should to ask whether the loss of life and cost is worth the excitement and potential goodwill that the military displays provide. Personally I'd feel happier if they were permanently grounded. I will now duck, although as we are off topic T Cook will fortunately not allow ongoing debate on this topic!
