Would they hire 8 highly motivated people on the spot to do manual de-icing? Now THAT would be a picture!!

A YYC concierge told a friend of mine that he refused to touch "Earn Your Wings bookings".

Not that this one has ever been particularly helpful to me. But still interesting to hear.

It's not like an EYW booking isn't a legal revenue booking.

Agreed - kinda hard to tell sometimes the difference between an EYW booking and a non-EYW booking, without reference to other bookings and/or some familiarity with specific individuals
New policy or just this concierge having a moment?

Well as I said, he wasn't very helpful to me before. So hard to say.

They can't just deny service that is very clearly advertised.

Concierge "service" is not defined. So zero service is still unfortunately within acceptable discretionary thresholds.

I had "zero service" twice this week in YYZ. Service is much better in YHZ and other "outposts".

I gave the YHZ concierge a heads up about my weeks travel and why.

I'd rather be given zero service (denied request) than lied to, however... With tight revenue bookings like some itineraries might have, clear communication is imperative.

I would request that general concierge discussion take place in another thread.

I only brought it up due to the explicit EYW reference.

My reference was that I informed YHZ Concierge about my EYW travels.

D1 of 9 EYW runs over the next 2 weeks. Nothing west of YYZ, each day includes at least 1 turn in the US, and back in YHZ each evening (no hotels, no luggage except a backpack).

1st flight out of YHZ delayed, making for a fun US connection to BDL.

Going to be lonely as I suspect I am the only fool trying to make it in the top 30 without heading west!!

What badges are you looking to obtain?

I explicitly excluded all the east coast to speed up my algorithm, and it didn't like there was anything even remotely interesting out there.

There are By Air and By Sea or Digital Nomad badges, but they are less efficient than the West Coast badges.

Air & Sea, plus YUL-BDL wing tip and YYZ-BOS wing tip. YYZ-BOS is worth 1700 Wings each way, which is pretty efficient for the length of the flight and the cost.

I am off to Europe for 10 days starting Saturday, so catch me if you can. I may be hard to catch though, what with FRA-YYZ for 200 wings on the 26th
Happy flying especially to all you late starters!

I'm happy that the herd is now entirely in the top 10, and I seriously hope we stay there.

Monday's flights haven't posted yet.

I guess I should post my "I'm in the MLL" listing for this weekend though...
