Empress for moderator

I officially nominate Empress to become the AC forum moderator. If you notice the icon, FT is looking for a few good men & women to assume the volunteer duties of moderator to help the new and keep the old in line.

Do I have someone to second the motion? Or any other volunteers for moderator? I can't as I kan't spel

I agree with MapleLeaf. We have had at least two discussions about placing parameters on this forum and the consensus each time was that we are a self moderating group. When we do stray far from the topic, someone always shepherds us back in the right direction.

Despite the occasional serious problem, I too vote to remain moderator free. Besides, I am of the selfish view that I wouldn't want to burden Empress with the additional workload associated with being moderator, particularly when he is busy providing us with 24/7/ advice.

I thought I am the moderator already.

It's been peaceful since the start of 2003, let's hope it stays that way.

I would volunteer but I think that might look like a conflict a AC employee moderating the forum. I vote for Empress if we have to have one but I think we can get
along without one.

If a moderator is needed, I would concur with Empress, as a selection. However, I am neutral about needing a moderator, for this forum.

No--I don't think we should have a moderator. After all, once playoff season comes around, no moderator could be expected to keep their hockey prejudices in check!

Is a moderator another word for thought police?
If so, I agree we don't need any but
what else do they do?
Are we missing out on having a vote of some sort? more influence? etc?
