Your J Class Breakfast Wish

For someone that travels domestic J Class at least a couple of dozen times a year for the last 15 years, Can I ask, who else is so sick of the breakfast options that haven't changed in years and years. I've had the opportunity to speak with many people about this including upper AC management and it seems that in surveys, people really like the breakfast especially the omelette. I'm wondering if these people that are saying this are possibly just occasional fliers. YVR-YYZ J Class is a huge money maker with a lot of regulars on board, I think it's time for a little bit of a menu change.

My recommendation would be a smoked salmon bagel with packaged cream cheese etc. This could be served with the existing fruit and yogurt tray, would have a decent shelf life and it wouldn't even need to be heated. Any other requests?

I've had some breakfast sandwiches from other carriers and they're great!

Yes, a breakfast sandwich would be great. Better yet, split it out like McDonald's big breakfast and give me some raspberry jam!

Personally, I'd like a pork & century egg congee with a youtiao (chinese doughnut) even more, though I doubt that'd survey well domestically.

Just copy what Lufthansa does.

I've always been impressed by their J breakfasts, short- or long-haul.

LH Y breakfasts are pretty darn good too! I mean they look meh, but taste good and metal utensils was a nice touch.

But, change costs money.

Yes! I'm a big fan of the cheese and pickle sandwiches they serve in Y. In fact, on my last flight in LH PY, I asked for that sandwich in lieu of the wraps they were serving in PY.

(I actually posted about this in the guilty pleasures thread I started, but I guess one of the mods deleted it.)

Bread. Real bread, I mean.

A selection of cereals served with milk.

I could be enticed to eat factory made sliced bread if it was toasted on board, but I'm guessing an aviation grade toaster costs more money than I've ever seen in my life.

A big reason for my endorsement of LH's breakfast offerings.

I really like AC's breakfast. I'd prefer pork to chicken in the sausage, but I generally like it.

I guess chicken is better for anyone of certain religions? Especially when they have no option (in PY).

LH pancakes with fruit compote ... oh my

Pancakes, waffles, bacon.
Cookies and ice cream before landing.
Especially when the arrival time is mid afternoon.
