YYZ-CUN - SE on points July 24
Looking for 2 seats on this flight in economy Using Aeropesos.
Not getting the direct flight as SE as an option. { tried priority rewards of course as well}
Tons of tango and up revenue seats available.
Normally , given these details , should seats be available to me on points for the direct flight ??
Thx for feedback.... before I call in

Looking at 11pm EST on 21 July there are 5 economy seats left for sale via GDS and 14 Rouge Premium. Guessing economy is over sold.

Didn't I read a while ago that IKK comes out of "R" inventory? Its certainly possible that "R" inventory is depleted without a flight being oversold, is it not?
Or am I out to lunch? I thought forcing IKK to be out of "R" rather than truly being out of positive-space Y was another devaluation they introduced some time along the way....

The OP is looking for 2 seats in Y.
Given that the flight in question is now Y4, it's likely oversold.

The benefit for SE is that re y ward seats are available for y cabin if y revenue seats are available, correct?
If I go on ac,com to purchase revenue tickets , it will allow me to.
So , shouldn;t the award space be made available to me.

The benefit is that Y seats are available if there is positive space for sale in the cabin, not simply if revenue tickets are for sale. Looking at the availability numbers, it's not hard to assume that the Y cabin is at least physically full, if not oversold.
