Currently, Air Canada's website does not do to the best job of displaying the record locators/booking references for other airlines in an itinerary (both cash and reward booking).

Air Canada uses the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS). Other airlines that also use Amadeus as their PSS (and travel agencies booking in the Amadeus GDS) will use the same record locator as Air Canada. Additionally, some airlines that Air Canada has partnerships with that do not use Amadeus will still accept an Amadeus record locator on their website to load a booking. If the airline does not appear in these lists then they do not currently use Amadeus and do not currently accept an Amadeus record locator to find a booking.

Amadeus-hosted airlines that Air Canada has agreements/partnerships with

Airlines in BOLD are Aeroplan partners in some way (earn and/or redeem).

* ANA currently uses a separate PSS for its Japan domestic operations. Bookings made that include both international and domestic NH segments, or Aeroplan redemptions for wholly-domestic itineraries will still create an Amadeus PNR, but you will likely need to lookup the domestic flight information on ANA's website to then manage the domestic reservation. ANA plans to fully migrate to Amadeus for its domestic operations in the next few years.

Non-Amadeus airlines that will accept an Amadeus record locator on their website

Delta Air Lines - DL
Emirates - EK
United Airlines - UA

Also, I talked with an agent today and was told that the confirmation PDF will soon also include partner-airline PNRs!

When I booked my reward couple weeks ago the agent proactively told me the PNRs for the other airlines.

Don't worry, 3 years and we'll be back to square one when Aeroplan loses *A awards.

I'm sure Air Canada has this feature, they just choose not to display it to customers.

Maybe! But one IT improvement isn't a trend yet. I'll be happy when I can just consistently log in and stay logged in to the AC website.

This did not work for me. I don't see the seat selection page. I see my reservation, but that's all? I see a box that says "retrieving" and it keeps blinking, but nothing like that screenshot that the original poster posted

Oh in case it wasn't obvious, my comment was made tongue-very-much-in-cheek. I have 0 expectation to see this being resolved within the next 12 months.
