LOL -- not laughing at your misfortune but it's good to know that I am not the only person who has done this! Fortunately, I was an SE at the time, so they were pretty good at fixing it for me without a penalty! -- catgirl
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that was a joke - Adam
Damn! And I thought I had someone to commiserate with. I typed in YYZ instead of YYC and didn't notice till a couple of days before the flight ... it ended well -- catgirl

Saturday morning hiking

I am planning to lead a hike before the 'official' 'do'. So far 3 of us are going, but I'm happy to show off our beautiful trails to as many as possible! We will go at the pace of the slowest person (possibly me!).

We will be hiking from Alyard farm, meeting there at 11am. If you need a ride, PM painintheuk. It will be a slow, relaxed pace, with snacks along the way!

We'll be done and back in plenty of time to check in and relax before the Do.

Please add your name below:
PainintheUK
catgirl (well ... maybe)
eigenvector

AND A BIG BIG THANKS TO LIGHTS_A_BLUR AND THE OTHERS WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Is a charter really needed given how many scheduled flights Harbour Air runs? Or would you have them fly a more scenic route for added entertainment?

If the weather permits and there are AQM and AQD available, it sounds like a great plan, even as a local .

Lots of other hotels downtown too. My personal fave is Hotel Rialto. Locally owned Boutique hotel with reasonably spacious rooms and decent prices. If you don't care about a pool or on-site fitness centre (they give passes for one down the road) then it's great. I'm around for either date and I would love to help organize if needed! Could someone add me to the wiki? As for the YVR do, I haven't reached the post requirement to add myself

I added you as noted. If you want me to change you from confirmed to waitlisted or have a date preference, let me know.

We certainly appreciate the offer to help and will let you know as more details get confirmed.

There's no reason not to get a start on the DO on the ferry! It is a pretty stunning start to an evening, especially for those who haven't done it before.

I have a friend who bulk buys passage on Harbour Air to deliver clients to his yacht wherever on the coast it is located ( http://www.pacificyellowfin.com ) As part of the package they also provide a "tour" en route.

If there is enough serious interest I will make enquiries.

Wow....float planes, yachts, Harbour Air tours...

Awesome suggestions guys.

I'd fly out to YVR a day ahead to do this. Let me know before I go kick myself with a Tango ticket.

In Mother Russia Tango tickets kick you.

Same as in Canada.

In terms of venue options, I am a member of the Union Club. Oldest private club in Western Canada, and all that. We could probably get a private dining room there. (Warning: It's a wee bit on the staid side...)

Thanks so much for the offer and suggestion.

We had a venue in mind and we are waiting to hear back about capacity and such, but great to have an additional one.
