Just tried the code updated to 2017. Looks like it will be offered on some fare classes. Message said promo hasn’t started yet. Looks like it’s set up, just not active. Based on what I saw, not applicable to business or latitude. There may be a new twist in that it seemed to suggest not applicable to all routes. Couldn't test my speculations out since code not active.

Crap
Take a look at Westjet for real deals. Bought 11 tickets!
Was seriously hoping they would do at least 25% and include lowest J considering what WS just did

Have booked 0 flights as the blackout dates are killing me. And it's cheaper to book R/T still than to use 15% off for the one way it works. and no J.

Is the 'travel agent link' shareable?
I can't book seats using the GIFT2017 code, with either the mobile app or the website. The mobile app will let me buy AC Cafe food, but not seats. The flights I want are Rouged, so I'm not interested on taking the flights unless I can book at least exit rows.
Thanks for any assistance.

These blackout dates are killing me. Having to pay $1600+ for Flex economy flights to the US/Carribean just sucks.
Oh well... not much choice for me for 2018 to try and hit SE.

Thanks MaxFlying, I appreciate you putting up the link.
I’ll use it to select my seats after booking and being assigned a booking reference number. What I was hoping for was a the ability to be able to purchase seats ‘before’ payment as the AC website skips the AC Cafe and Seat selection altogether when using the GIFT2017 code. I was able to access AC Cafe on the mobile app but not seating. I would never fly Rouge without being up front or in an exit row, so was hoping to save the step and guarantee seating before payment.
Oh well, it gives me another personal experience that aligns to SKYEG’s maxim: “AE(AC) site works sometimes... all the time”.
