I should not say that but I stole Paul Martin's seat on FLL-YUL and I sat with his wife ... And he went in the back in Y ... He came over once to talk to her ... She was nice we talked ...
I never acknowledged that I knew who she was because I wasn't sure, I just figured out when P.M. came from Y ...
Nice chap but I don't understand why a rich guy like him tried to use an upgrade and lost to me SE
This was Nov. 21 last direct flight of the day ... His wife said they usually fly from West Palm Beach ...
True story ...

Nov 18 - yyz to yqr late flight - Ralph Goodale next to me in J. Poor guy was getting hit up by everyone who thought he should know them as they boarded. Didn't talk to him much, as I was coming back from Europe and not super chatty myself. Decent guy, but seemed like he had been hit by a harper steamroller that week and was sleeping. Also sat behind Sarah Richardson last winter in J from ywg to yyz - she was with someone (mom or assistant?) and was super chatty.

It was ridiculous. Some guy asked if he was coming to the church bake sale on Sunday. On the name front, he knew them all! If I were him I would have pretended I was sleeping...

Flew MUC-YYZ on AC847 with Adrienne Clarkson on board (2D). Very low key approach - LH staff boarded her last and I assume deplaned either last as she was still seated when we docked at YYZ. Never saw her in customs either, though I am guessing there may be some alternate arrangements elsewhere in the terminal?

The word "celebrity" has been stretched further than I ever thought possible in this thread!
Or maybe I misunderstood the thread title . . . Is it Canadian Celebrities or Celebs seen on Canadian-based airlines

My brushes with celebrity
Getting this thread back on topic...
Was on a Sunday afternoon flight YYZ-LAX last year on the day of the Golden Globe Awards. Had both Eugene Levy and Jason Priestley on the flight in J class.
Two years ago was upgraded on a ZRH-YYZ flight and kinda recognized the person in the pod in front of me, but couldn't place him. Then at baggage claim got into a conversation with his girlfriend/partner about the book The Alchemist, and the guy walks up with a San Jose Sharks bag - and I realized it was Joe Thornton.
