In the "weird" category.

"Let's snap - add me, my name is ........"

"You really should post a few more selfies to your Instagram. "

The second kinda spooked me a bit since the account name is in no way related to my actual name.

Re: Electronics off and such

I did 4 flights with TK, and in all of them everyone in the J cabin was using headphone (not earbuds). I thought that was "safety regulation"?

TK cabin safety procedures are based on what is mandated and approved by the DGCA.

Air Canada cabin safety procedures are based on what is mandated and approved by TCCA.

As jaysona said, different regulatory bodies. Fly a US carrier, headphones on the whole time, no problem. Avianca has no problem with them. And I don't recall LH, AY or SK making me take off my QC15s on any of my flights around Christmas.

Canadian regulations are just way behind the times.

You should really try flying all the other *A carriers and you will see various differences compared to how AC handles "safety procedures/protocol".

Some *A carriers are more strict than AC for some things, and less strict for others.

When I tell people the amount of flying I've done, they literally don't believe me. Maybe because you and Jaysona are the more well known flyers with crew, so I'll just quote my amount of travel in either Peever or Jaysona units so that they can fathom it.

Only people here on FT can actually understand me

Can anyone lend me that device which measures Peever and Jaysona units?

You're right I should.

Ana Y/J seemed the same as AC, but it might just be people following older rules.

TK J was pretty much 'oh you're in J? Well then just do pretty much anything you want no problem'.

UA I can really remember.

And the rest I'm still a noob. A supre noon actually.
