Wait... the badges listed are the same as v3. I hope they change, since I gave away the winning itinerary for that :\

Most likely not interested...With the recent major devaluation of SE benefits i don't see the point of spending dozens/hundreds of hours suffering in Y.
I was among the top 25 during EYW1 and thought that was a really fun promotion (which encouraged me to spend a few extra $k, but this doesn't seem nearly as tempting.

I can't recall this being part of last year's T&C's:
Cow & DC, I don't recall how much you made last year but there is a cap this year!
Once again, thank you very much for the heads up communication AC! I am NOT going to cancel & re-book the INTL ticket I booked two days ago if that is your intention of not communicating ahead of time.
As part of the Promotion, each participant can earn up to a maximum of 750,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles, excluding the amount of bonus miles to be earned by finishing in the Top 20.

1. Announce it ahead of time, but keep the booking window as is. This defers revenue as people hold bookings until the window opens. I assume they don't want this.
2. Include previously booked flights. This is rewarding you for something you would have done anyway, which I assume is also not something they want.
3. Announce it the day the booking window opens. This ensures that they're only rewarding people who may have been enticed to book by the promotion.
I understand the frustration, but I also understand why they chose option 3. Their goal, in every promotion, seems to be to get you to book flights you wouldn't have otherwise booked.
I think it was around 60k? I can't quite recall.
I'm updating my algorithm to run on the latest flight schedules so I can see if a similar itinerary will work as last time.
