Hmmm when is the Voyager badge supposed to show up? I see some people already have it.

Damn impressive to be able to complete all those segments back to back like that.

Congratulations!

Yikes! I hope there aren't too many people using that last-minute strategy!

Also, I second the comments about YUL having a PITA nexus/border-line system, made easier by atypically pleasant US customs people, and about YTZ actually being kinda nice. I really enjoyed walking home from the airport in Toronto.

Okay I have no idea how to verify if my badges are correct.

I can't reconcile the Accelerator because each one is worth a different amount and there's no breakdown. I can't reconcile random airports (YUL, YVR, YYZ, etc.) because they don't show up at all (except for the score).

All the "real" badges are there though, except the Voyager badge.

Nope. If the flight is after the deadline, it won't count.

You're SE right? Call reservations and tell them to oversell the flight you want in accordance with their IRROPS policy.

Airport staff won't do it, but reservations can.

I know I'll get back to NL after the deadline, and I'm not too concerned about that. I'm just hoping the earlier legs of the flight post, and ideally that my "rebooking" back to toronto does as well (because I need/want the yhz departure).

On a different note, this was the first time I've needed a concierge (I've only been SE for a month or so), and I begin to understand why all you non-bottom-feeders like the concept.

Is that 14 segments of YVR-YYJ? 28,000 wings? 3 hours 30 minutes in the air for 14 flights. 63AQM at a time lol

Do you get a bonus for being #1? Seems like a lot of unnecessary flying since you are so far ahead of #20!

I think Air Canada gets the bonus. Is any flying necessary?

Most are flex fares, so more like 250miles. I'm way past 100aqs for the year too, not that I needed EYW to qualify...

Now that 20th place is at 70K I am officially out of the running

I should finish with 61650 which looks like a top 25 finish - why couldn't this be a top 25 contest!!

Consolation I guess is that I didn't book anything specifically for this like most of the winners, I just made sure the extra segments I added to my trips were in cities to get badges, and since I'm a segment SE, I take connecting flights anyway.
Still sucks knowing that I could have booked a couple segment run itins, got 8-10 more badges getting me those 500K miles with less than $1000 investment.

Oh well...
