E-ups - Used without consent

Logged into my account an noticed that credits were missing. I. Then looked further at the history and the transaction took place on a flight that I was not on. The passengers name is Aldo someone I don't know. The passenger is obviously not my nominee either.
How on earth can this even happen?

Just a heads up to keep an eye on your account.

Wow.
Until you sort out whether Aldo has your # and pwd or if it is an IT issue, I assume you quickly changed your pwd

Sounds like an error at the airport actually for the companion rule. Since having the account and password would have meant he showed up as a nominee.

Still, how would such a mistake allow an airport agent to access someone's eUp account?

Sorry. I don't know ac's terminal system and interface well enough to answer that one

I’m very perplexed as to how this happened. My thought is that this must have or could have only happened by manual intervention at the airport.

I’ve emailed customer service to find out what happened.

I was thinking as to how this could have happened. If they weren't in your nominee spot, then they must have been on the same flight as you. Can someone who is on your flight provide your name and AE # to request an upgrade or do YOU have to do it? I have always imagined that if has to be the person who owns the eupgrade credits. If so, that's even more perplexing. I'd hope an audit of that upgrade is easily done to figure this out. Please post back. This is most confusing.

Gotta think this is a glitch, because he'd have to have your # and pass and the foresight to add himself as a nominee or something. Make sure you take screenshots and whatnot to add them to the service ticket so that they can actually see what you're seeing.

Sounds like a typo when trying to take out companion eUPs from someone.

Good luck getting them back. I am sure Ben L can pull some strings and make it happen ... Or can he?

Don't think you'll have a problem getting them back, but maybe I'm not as jaded as some others here.

This form is a good starting point:
