Anyone have a copy of the TATL breakfast card? Asking for a friend.

Trying to think of the thread I saw sky post it in this week - was definitely the same choices I had for my TATL last week.

If you have a moment look through his posts and you'll find it. Sorry I didn't see it with a quick search and then my usual laziness kicked in.

I think you knew where to find it

I assume catering out of YYZ is best being AC's main hub as they are probably most involved and have more oversight than in outstations. I don't fly AC enough to have noticed any trends so would be curious if anyone else has any 'favourite' route for catering.

I don't fly near as much as other people on this forum but I flew HND-YYZ a couple weeks back and the omelette was quite good and not the normal parsley omelette set. My beef was inedible though. Should have known it was not going to be the same as ANA F and gone with the chicken.

This post combines AC 63 YVR-ICN and AC 64 ICN-YVR - March 2019

* AC's current obsession with shellfish was on full display: AC 63 and 64 had shellfish appetizers, followed by my YVR-YYZ, also with a shellfish appetizer. It's ridiculous. So I take photos and then send the dish back to the kitchen. Must be fun for those with shellfish allergies or for those who also don't eat it.

Well, the apples from the lobster appetizer became useful again, balancing out the greens which are bitter.

The bibimbap was excellent again.

The cheeses ex-ICN are very different in both texture and taste. They have some interesting flavours.

I love the apples ex-NRT and ex-ICN. Fruit was ripe and flavourful.

How does one go about complaining about food safety concerns? On a recent LHR YYZ flight I had what seemed to look like surface mold on my shrimp (Signature Service). I complained to the in flight director and he apologized but that was it. I'm not so sure I'm after compensation but surely I would hope this issue gets flagged and corrected as it may have been a valid health concern.

Please send a written notice to the local health authority that was at point of origin or destination with copy to Canada Food Inspection Agency.. Key details and a photo if possible. IMO, Air Canada will not take your complaint seriously as it has no incentive to do so.
It speaks to the complete absence of originality and creativity that the menu for ICN above is almost the same as for NRT/HND/PEK/PVG. I have been served the same menu on my asian flights since January and it is boring and unpalatable. I just lose it every time I see this stupid lobster endive concoction. Canada had a surplus of lobster this year, so I guess that someone stocked up on frozen lobster at discount prices and we will be served this rubbery gunk until the stock runs out or the animal feed processors offer a better price.

There is no business class on that flight, so this is the wrong thread.

Flew AC5 today from YUL-NRT. It has been a couple of years since I've flown in J to Japan. Ordered the Japanese meal and whil it was tasty, it didn't seem to be as varied and as nicely presented as it used to be on flights from YYZ or Japan.

For those who fly the route regularly I'm curious whether this was a function of leaving from YUL or has AC downgraded the Japanese J meal?

Sorry no pictures as my phone was packed away.

+1. The shellfish obsession is absurd for those of us who can't eat it. It's not an uncommon allergy - why can't they provide an alternative?

Looks like they have abandoned the endive in the lobster salad, which is a good thing. It was consistently wilted and unappetizing.

Impressive cheese selection! That's how it should be, with a variety of tastes and textures.

Forget about the allergies and taste of airplane food.

Admire and enjoy the presentation and simply enjoy the Kit Kat's and cashews, and think about your favorite foods from a real restaurant :D

Am I missing something? If you have a food allergy, you can always order a special meal request - isn’t that the point? So if you’re allergic to shellfish, you can request special or you can do regular and take your chances.
I for instance have a dairy allergy so I either order NLML or vegan or veg. I’ve occasionally on Asian-bound or return flights gone regular and take the Asian option as they tend to be dairy free. But that’s a dice roll and it’s sometimes led to SOL situations. But that’s on me, and I deal.
I guess my point is if you expect there to be non-shellfish options in the regular meal, should I expect dairy-free options? What about gluten-free? Again, hence special meals.
