YVR-NRT will be flown by the sixth 787 delivery, currently planned for November. So there is a buffer of a few weeks in the event of any delays. ^

YYZ-LHR 856/869 is being flown 10 times in July for pilot training. After 13JUL it reverts to a daily 77L.

Does anyone who is monitoring the 787 delivery schedule know if there is any chance of the 787 service YVR to NRT commencing earlier than the Dec 15 date? Flying the week before and would very much welcome the replacement of the very tired 767.

There's always a chance with schedule changes, but I believe the 787 deliveries are all in place for 2014.

C-GHPX (805) was delivered on October 30th, sent to MCI for final touch ups and left MCI for YYZ on November 4th and put into service last night on YYZ-CPH.

C-GHPY is painted and has flown back to Charleston. It has done 5 pre delivery flights so technically it should be on track for deliver within a week or so. (http://nyc787.blogspot.ca has it scheduled to be delivered on November 20th.) So add 3-4 days in MCI and AC should have it in operation by the last week of November.

That would put it in line with the schedule change you are mentioning.

That being said, there is also a new YYZ-CDG route starting Dec. 1st, so I'm not sure how the internal gymnastics work, but by then AC should have 6 787s flying so its hard to say which plane flies when and how.

No plans to early up the start date on this one. Delivery is on track though so we look good for Dec 15. ^

I hope with this upgrade on AC, NH will replace their old metal too. The JAL cradles in the 787 are ok, but lie flat will put me back on AC. Having three decent J options to Tokyo is a very welcome change.

AC has been consistently lie flat on the route since the 763s were mostly XM'ed in 2008... the only change here is just reverse herringbone seats on the 788 instead of the classic pod on 763. Both seats have advantages.

By upgrade I meant replacing the old and tired 767. Fly this one often and have notice the cabin getting tired.
