TARTUFFE:

AC has advisories before any film or TV show that is for mature audiences and viewers can adjust their selections accordingly depending on their own tastes and if they are fussed about the possibility of a minor glimpsing their screen.

This topic belongs on a American airline forum. After all they like regulate, warn, censor etc everything.

Here is how you handle it, turn it off if you can't deal with it.

After all well known movie with heavy sexual themes.

Editing anything a book, movie, play, TV etc is not acceptable practice in my opinion

Or is there a different movie selection in Y class?

Some folks (not me) would consider this to be soft core porn - I was surprised to see this as one of the options. Brings a whole new meaning to when the FA offers you butter.
I don't care-anyone should be able to view it.
I am not forcing anyone else to watch it.
Fark censorship-for this reason.
(that being said, it's not like it affects me as I don't fly AC.)
If it bothers a PAX, they should be able to move.

God forbid. Sex should be eradicated from society.

Ok two points:

1) If we are talking about adults only here, as Shakespeare once said(paraphrased): Much ado about nothing!(IMO) Have you checked what is on TV at 3pm these days? We are so provincial when it comes to things like this over here.

2) However, I do think it is difficult to avoid being exposed to it if one objects even with the pods, so not ideal when children are in J. Saying: Just turn it off if you don't want to watch it is not realistic IMO, given the lack of privacy afforded even by the pods.
The issue is more about whether AC should offer movies with more explicit content when children are potentially sitting in their planes. I'm not sure how you can avoid that other than not offeringsuch films for viewing in the first place.

Now how do you deal with nudity or sexual explicit content on someone else's laptop sitting next to your kid?

And BTW am I the only one who thinks that movie was pretty overrated (and I was around when it came out originally!)

There was a long (and eventually, abusive) thread earlier this year about whether one should watch R rated movies in the presence of children. It ended with the "I have rights!" crowd abusing the "don't corrupt children" crowd and vice versa. The mods closed it down.

I'm always somewhat careful with what I watch on my own equipment.

I generally assume that AC's content is safe for viewing on a plane though...
