Star Alliance Upgrade Awards - points accrual
Might be a silly question:
When you upgrade a Y/B fare with SAUA, the fare changes to "Z"... but do you still get points accrual based on the original fare purchased?

SAUA uses Z class??? FANTASTIC. I thought I (J reward seat) space was needed. I have never looked for it since I rarely use Y/B but now I will start looking for it.

I SAUA my EVA (BR) B class to Z class (Royal Laurel), for 25000 one-way
Someone said BR reserves Z class for its own IML members only, but probably not the case here
and someone else said I should get the original miles from Y as well (he did SAUA on SQ)
