Thanks for the T&C... and actually, how can someone manually transfer Club Sobeys to Aeroplan without setting the account to auto convert?

It's definitely doable to 50 stars, but then you only get 2.5k. Not sure it's worth the effort/money/reselling to get to 100 stars and 75k.
I actually don't get the promo this time around. If they're targeting people who are already going to have around ~70 stars without doing anything special, they're not going to put in the effort to get another 30 stars.

No - gift cards do not earn Sobeys points

Sobeys is Thriftys out west. and yes this is harder, but doable. $10.00 food and $10.00 gas or so a day should do it.

Sucks. Already spend ~$1000 this month and trying not to spend anymore.
Easy.

Just spend $5000 buying a fully refundable AC ticket. Then refund it a few months later, after you've got your AP points.

Sticking it back to AC!

I have to admit that the video on the landing page is well designed anyways. At least this year it'll be better run...

Since we are all going to sign up for this anyway, we should sign up in a chain so at least people get their 1 pathetic referral star. Someone refer me, I'll sign up.

Can we do this in another thread?
Only discussion here maybe?

And also I'm looking at all the possible ways to collect, and I can get around ~43 stars without any purchases. That means I gotta spend another $270...

Yeah we should take this elsewhere. I will also start building a strategy somewhere of how to minimise dollars and time

Well, assuming you're a CIBC cardholder:
5 stars for holding the card
10 stars for a $5000 refundable AC ticket
3-5 stars for pre-authorized payments
9 stars for SPG/Aventura transfers
3 stars for online registration, facebook registration, and sms registration
4 star for referral, tweeting, sharing, watching videos,
4 stars for trivia
Possible:
3-6 stars for supplementary cardholders
1 star for online banking
That's a total of 37-47 stars from that.
