I'll take on YOW-YVR (and v/v). What I'm not clear on, is exactly what info you want (also how to present it, but that will be determined by how we post it).
Do I search YOW-YVR for tomorrow and every day for the next 30, then make a note of the C loads on each direct flight? And repeat that every day? Or are we going to track C loads at the specific 30-day, 14-day, etc., marks?

It's more involving when you start it up... Here's what I did last night:
Set up columns of:
* Flight Date
* Flight Num
* Dep time
* 30 Days
* 14 Days
* 7 Days
* 72 hours
* 48 hours
* 24 hours
* Day of departure
* Aircraft
You check for flights for the next 30 days and then slot them into the appropiate colum. (i.e. Jan 4's flights goes into 24 hours, Jan 5's flights goes into 48 hours...)
Once this initial process is done, all you have to do each day is check ITN and update the chart. [I just copy the entire J9C9M9... into the database.]
It sounds confusing but it's quite easy and you can really see a trend once you reach 30 days. The data is simple but you can tell a lot from them over time. I'll try to set something up when I get home in a couple of hours.

You guys are on track. It will be amazing what you can decipher when you track a flight for awhile.
KH:
There really are not enough people who would switch their travel plans based on their chances of an upgrade. Remember for the vast majority of travellers it is Price, Price, Price, and Time of departure that matter. Every survey says that Safety is their number one priority in choosing a carrier, but for the most part it is taken for granted.

The lounge project website is only free up to 500KB. [Which is not much use if it's that small]
It's $14.95/month for 15MB and up to 15 database. I doubt anyone here wants to pay for this so I'll see what other options i have.

Thanks... i see that you've only used 6% of the limit. [Do you only have 1 database under that login?]
Otherwise I was thinking I could simply export the Access database to html format and upload it to my homepage and people can just access it from there.

I am thinking maybe we should focus on international & possibly transboder destinations for now?
[Domestic flights such as YYZ-YVR are so time consuming and I've already establish a trend based on my past/current travel on this route.]
What are the thoughts?

I've completed YVR-HKG, HKG-YVR, YYZ-YVR for now. I think I'll be moving onto YYZ-LHR and YVR-NRT tonight and then the others that people wanted.
I'll up the resulting chart to my website tonight or tomorrow.

That was my (and others') original idea (QuickBase is what's driving the lounge project -- as you know, since you run it!). But Intuit only offers 10K of database and 500K of attachments in the free version. Not sure how much room is actually required.
If QuickBase can be used for this without running up a bill, then as I suggested before, let's not put it all through Empress but input it ourselves!

That was my original intention too but I gave up on it because the free version has a 1 database & 0.5 MB limit.
I am chatting with Dorian now about using his remaining space for this project.
Will decide where we go from there...
