AC 2x?

does AC ever have 2x or 3x status mile deals? looking on the mileage deals forum, it seems like a lot of the other carriers do, but AC not so much..?

Not that I know of. Unless you book Executive First Lowest (25% Status Bonus) or Executive First Flexible (50% Status Bonus), you are out of luck.

Sometimes, but on very limited routes, like the one they ran for Rapid Air or YTZ flights and even those were very rare and consisted of fly X amount of segments to get X amount of bonus status miles, not an outright 2X or 3X multiplier.

Nothing like the UA/CO/US/AA and the like run though...

No. And for one I am glad they don't. The only thing 2x or 3x status promos do is inflate the ranks of status passengers when they don't truly have loyalty.

Dating myself here, but this was super common back in the days of Canadian Airlines on the short haul domestic Western and Eastern Triangle Routes.

Don't think we'll see anything like this until WJ gets a serious FFP.

They do.. Tango to Asia gives you 50% miles and Tango Plus gives you 100%.. in essence making it 2x

"does AC ever have 2x or 3x status mile deals? " RARELY

Yes they have had in distant memory (after pilot's strike in 1998:--first time I became SE):
BB becomes SE with status mile promo also in 2003 there was status mile promo
FALL STATUS MILE PROMO THREAD

and there must have been one in 2001 as I talk about it here:

STATUS MILES 2001

There have been others, e.g. status miles for purchasing a flight pass in fall of 2011.

However the status miles promotions which I remember from the nineties were not like 2x or 3x. More like, x segments, y status miles.
