FlyerTalk Forums Expert How-Tos and Guides
Last edit by: Adam Smith
This is a master thread to post any lounge meet up requests / invite requests forum members might have. It'd be great if you could post your lounge guesting/request in the same format as below...
A reminder - those offering guesting are quite happy to be guested to a superior lounge!

If you have the ability to make changes to the WIKI, please do so yourself rather than replying to the thread! If you are asking to be guested, please only add to the wiki - do not post in the thread.

OFFER REQUEST MEET (i.e. will be there but can't guest) dd-MMM-yyyy / hh:mm / XXX / Terminal Lounge / FlyerTalkName
Please note the date format so as to avoid confusion

Please do not write OFFER/MEET; if you are able to guest someone in, it is implied you can also meet them without guesting them in.

YVR domestic until 1530: black and white penguin suit and bright blue hat like usual. Come say 'hi!'.

p.s. to those curious: still a self-serve bar, but only tiny little glasses at hand

WAIT. WHAT?? Hello - penguin suit? Crap I would have flown all the way to see this

Had a Micro Do (more like a meet up with another FT) that had an angrypenguin photo, but this is new. What's a penguin suit??

Anyway, YYZ PPL Friday May 22nd at around 5:30pm. Hopefully i can meet some/one of you! Would be a pleasure

My wife and I will be at the YYZ International MLL today between about 5:15-8:00 pm EDT today. It'll be my first time in the international lounge (I've never flown overseas from YYZ, but I have arrived at YYZ from LHR before).

We'll also likely be at the LHR arrivals lounge Sunday morning. 8:30 arrival, plus however long it takes UK Customs and Immigration to decide we're okay.

And then a date with the Piccadilly line.

At YVR Transborder right now - someone is playing their music on a speaker right by the lounge entrace. Lounge attendant hasn't put a stop to it yet, and it's been 2 songs now...

If that person is of age which I assume they are, bring over your laptop and play some porno very loudly. See if they get the hint.

Haha - it's a couple, in their 50's, playing a Top 40ish mix. Music still going strong, no sign of the lounge attendant doing anything about it...

This is why I hate MLL's. I'd ask the couple to stop and tell them that their noise pollution is rude and if they don't stop that you'll tell the agent. I wonder what the response would be.

You can also remind them (if feeling snarky) that their type of music can be found in the 70's section

Food at YYC MLL yesterday was pretty decent.

I like the new set up, lots of seats. What I do not like is the new bar in comparison to the self-serve lounges, I can feel them judging every single patron....But I guess it stops people from filling their Nalgene bottle with whiskey.

I'm in the YVR international lounge. Haven't been here in ages and for some reason thought it was similar to the YYZ international lounge. Whoops - no comparison. Lounge here is fairly small with limited food and beverage options. (The self-serve pho station is interesting, though - may have to try it.)

Next time I'll go to the domestic MLL, even if flying internationally.
