P. Eng. Energy/Utilities business. Almost 100% travel on my own dime.
It is surprising (to me anyway) the number of FT members on this forum that are travelling on their own dime. No wonder the push back, especially from Elites with the program cutbacks in 2011.

Professional mileage runner and aspiring P90X poster girl!
Before that I used to be an Account Executive for one of the largest chemical/plastics companies in the world. When my job was eliminated in May, I was offered a sweetheart package and I am now happily retired. I did better than Freedom 55 by quite a few years! All my travel was domestic and cross-border, so had to do MRs to reach SE status. (Wish I had joined FT sooner. I could have been SE for quite a few more years.) My degree is in Chem Eng.
All of my travel is now self-funded, so I will no longer be able to offset my bottom feeding MRs with those $800 YYZ-ORD or YYZ-ATL tickets!

Paper Shredder magnate.
For work, I travel almost exclusively in North America. Most trips are to the US or within Canada. Several times a year, I also travel to the Caribbean (yay!), and to Mexico (grrr!).
For pleasure, I like to travel to mountainous regions in the western part of North America, so that I can enjoy the best skiing in the world.
I am several dozen years older than jlisi984.

Occupation: When not calling bingo, you mean ... a geographer with a bucket list.
Just crossed off "Play golf in the Amazon jungle" and working on a double double, "Enjoy a kiss from a Miss Universe" and "Go to the city that has produced the most number of Miss Peru´s" (Ferrenafe).
Age: Funny, a cute young clerk just recently asked the same question... then she offered me a discount because it was Zellers Senior Day.
