How many transborder flights...
... does Air Canada operate on a typical day.
Or perhaps a better indication... how many transborder flights a week does Air Canada operate?
I'm interested in the total number, as in YVR-SEA return would be counted as 2 flights.
Just a long standing curiousity.

According to Statscan there were 422,012 itinerant (flights from one airport to another) transborder aircraft movements in 2009 (at airports with NAV CANADA towers and flight service stations). That's a -4.5% decrease from 2008, and makes up 10% of the total Canadian aircraft movements in 2009. Not quite sure if it's 100% accurate to divide that by 365 and get a daily average but for what its worth it would imply ~1150 transborder flights/day.
Otherwise.. you could visit the websites of the 10-20 airports that have transborder flights and just do a quick count...
Added after (all are itinerant movements):
