Yes you can, still 75000 points for J I think, but good luck with YQ.
Plenty of routing through frankfurt from cities like Shanghai.

If you're not using a stopover, why wouldn't you just fly TPE-YYZ or TPE-IST-YYZ?

was hoping to do TPE-VIE-YYZ on BR/OS, but the search engine showed one seat available only.

The one Asian city that seems to be impossible to do a NA-Europe-Asia one way is Tokyo. The pseudo MPM with Japan is simply not enough to allow for something like YYZ-FRA-HND.

That said, it works with a lot of cities in SE Asia. One of the most generous mileage cities is DPS - you can route via Germany and Japan to get there (I've booked YYZ-ORD-FRA-HND-BKK-SIN-DPS under the new system), so I leave the creativity aspect up to you.

I use LH F to get to/from Asia more often than I should - and it's always a treat to fly a few more hours in F and spend some time in the FCT to break up the long journey.

i got mrs.ght and ght jr on YYZ-TPE (BR) direct using AP miles..... Now i need to find a way for them to get home..... prefer NH followed by OZ.....but lots of connections and layovers required..... looks like TPE-IST-YYZ is the most attractive.....

had difficulties finding flights to europe too, unless i stop over in PEk, PVG or BKK

Because Toronto is the centre of the universe, the West coast means nothing.

But for the other nobodies out there, you can't do Asia to YVR via Europe for the most part, mpm is too low.

India, Maldives, Sri Lanka yes and maybe Kuala Lumpur under specific routes, but places like HKG, nope.

All in J
Doesn't seem like YEG-PER is allowed via South America or Africa, Asia only. Seem like the only routes that permit it are originating in the center of the world.. bummer

Which just make a RTW 200,000 in J as oppose to 150,000

No go. GIG will be destinations, so you will have to figure out a different way from CUZ to GIG (or PTY to CUZ) because LIM wont be allowed twice.

And I dont think Avianca flies from CUZ to anywhere but LIM

You should still try and call it in, stranger things have happened.

Is it because of MPM? Or just the routing - any other suggestions for countries to visit in SA instead of PTY that would make this valid?
