Double booking problem (?)

Hi!

I made a booking for one hotel and got trapped by the famous Accor website.

On my first trial, I failed to proceed with this 3D validation so I thought the booking reference had not been made and tried making one more new booking.

My second trial went through and I got a confirmation mail from Accor.

But when I checked my account I noticed that I have two booking references for the same hotel! But the first failed booking did not go through the validation so nothing charged.
So I clicked on cancellation button, but after I canceled the booking, I again noticed this scary message "the amount due is not refundable".

If I do not wanna go to the hotel I can ignore that message but now I am worried because I will be present at the hotel and they can even charge me for this cancelled booking!! ( ..

Is there anybody having the same problem? How could they make a booking reference without even going through the payment process?

Glitches happen, and I've had confirmed bookings where the payment has never been taken. It seems the first step is to confirm the booking, then take the payment. It's a problem if the second step doesn't work, although I have had the bookings disappear in due course.

I would suggest contacting the hotel, they may be able to fix the problem from their end.
