Points expiring
Sorry for the silly question…
I used to be a regular at a few hotels on here but out of it for the last 2 years for obvious reasons.
Still Platinium but all points going to expire soon…what’s the best way to extend them without phiscaly staying at an hotel?
Thanks!

The above is a good starting point.
To fully answer, depends on your plans ( later ) and the number of points you have, and where you are based.
The two "easiest" ways is to eat and get the points credited ( do you have family near an Accor Hotel that does this - check as some do not ) they could use your card. I do not see this as "cheating" as no one will get any status benefits at a restaurant, and they do not have to show ID.
The best way is to do a survey, but depending on where you are, you will need a VPN or the survey will not work. However points posting is slow.
Contact Accor and plead your case.
Transfer points to another program, such as Avios ( better than letting them expire - conversion rate is poor )
Good luck.

Help is needed. Points expiring in Dec and there isn’t any Accor property nearby
Just tried to contact Accor at Twitter and they send me this:
Dear Guest,
Thank you for contacting ALL-Accor Live Limitless.
To keep your Reward points, all you need is to have one Reward points transaction credited to your ALL account before the scheduled Reward points expiration date.
In fact, each eligible transaction that leads to a credit of Reward points on your account automatically extends the validity of your Reward points balance by 365 days.
It must be noted that the validity of your Reward points is only extended after the transaction has been credited to your ALL - Accor Live Limitless account.
The eligible transactions that can trigger an extension of the validity of Reward points are:
- An eligible stay, if not fully paid for in Reward points,
- An event organised as part of ALL Meeting Planner offer,
- A drink or meal taken outside a stay in one of our hotels’ bar or restaurant participating in the Dining Offer,
- A purchase from our e-store Limitless Experiences by ALL – Accor Live Limitless (for puchases in Flexpay only) or from Collections online portal,
- A conversion of your Points or Miles from your account at one of our partners, for those offering this possibility, to your ALL - Accor Live Limitless account,
- Purchase a product or service offered by one of our leisure, mobility, survey or shopping partners.
The credit period applicable to each partner varies depending on the type of transaction you make.
To ensure that you retain your Reward Points, we invite you to check these timeframes when selecting a transaction and verify that this timeframe will indeed trigger a credit of points to your account prior to the scheduled expiry date of your Reward Points.
If the Dining Offer is not available in your country of residence or near your home, I invite you to visit the bar or restaurant of one of our hotels participating in ALL loyalty programme to have a meal or drinks there outside a stay.
If the hotel participates in the Dining Offer, they will help you with the steps you need to take to earn Reward points as part of this offer.
If not, send us your bill (with a minimum value of €10) from this hotel’s bar or restaurant at least 12 days before your points expire so that we can credit you with the Reward points corresponding to your expenditure and thus extend the validity of your Reward points balance.
We remain at your entire disposal should you have any further information.
Yours Sincerely,
Accor Care Team

Last year I extended my points by making a purchase through their website (shopping portal) for an item I needed from a home improvement store.
I earned a very small amount of points, maybe less than 10 but my points were extended.

Anyone know how quickly shopping portal points post? My points are expiring next week. Made an eligible shopping purchase a week ago, and hoping that it posts before my points expire.

Usually between weeks and months depending so your posts are likely to expire.
Your best chance could be to book a ride, it could post within days but it varies a lot from a country to another.
i’ve done this several times in varions countries to earn some missing points to reach a multiple to be burned.
it is the best cheap choice aside from converting from another partner (ie converting Flying Blue miles into All reward points - which takes a few minutes btw)

if a window is already open with the site or if you use something to block ads, it might not go through.

Reporting back to share my experience with anyone looking to extend points expiration without a hotel stay. There isn't an Accor hotel within 300 miles of where I live. I first tried the shopping portal. It's been over two weeks since the order and no points have posted. Last week I tried using Club Opinions. Registered for the 600 point bonus and did a couple of surveys. Points posted within two days! Expiration extended another year!

Does this really work though? I thought it had to be something like an actual stay in order for the points to be extended. The closest Accor property to me just now is ibis Syles Sierre. Apparently their restaurant, A TABLE, is the talk of the town. I could pop along and have lunch there. Not sure if they participate in the Accor Dining Offer though. I sent them an email about it, but I expect they will have no idea what I am going on about.
