Sofitel Hamburg: Any drink including cocktails at the hotel bar
Novotel Suites Issy les Moulineaux: Any drink from the bar (not much on offer, quality subpar)

JTCz Aug 22, 2015 2:38 pm

Pullman Brussels Midi - contrary to what the Wiki says while I'm writing this, I was told "only red or white wine", when insisting on non-alcoholic: Fanta, Cola or Sprite, when insisting on non-carbonated: Minute Maid apple juice, served rather exquisitely

MGallery Budapest Hotel Nemzeti - any drink from the card, including rather sumptuous cocktails accompanied with a generous serving of nuts

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci - prosecco (it wasn't me who used the voucher, so I don't know what else it could be, but prosecco is very nice)

Novotel Athenes - severely limited selection, do not remember all the options but getting to orange juice through a number of other refused options was a bit of a pain

Pullman Stuttgart Fontana - asked for and got a soft drink at the spa bar and was later told at the reception that I should not have been allowed one for my voucher there, only at the "proper" bar...

Other hotels where I did not ask what my selection was, just went for a coffee:
* Ibis Hamburg Alsterring
* Ibis Berlin Kurfuerstendamm
* Ibis Berlin Mitte
* ibis Styles Stockholm Jarva
* ibis Budapest Centrum
* Mercure Paris Arc de Triomphe Etoile (bottle of water on my way out rather than coffee)

Basically everywhere I go, I get the voucher for two people if I stay with another person in the room.

Embarrasingly, looking at my list of past reservations, I cannot remember whether I got a voucher or not at a number of properties... Must be something they put in those complimentary drinks!

Novotel Leeds.

Booked two rooms and got two vouchers.

Used them for cocktails at the bar - there didn't seem to be any restrictions.

Novotel Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumas...got nothing at check-in, voucher or mention of benefits as Platinum. Will inquire tomorrow morning. They were also being ambiguous about late check-out Monday. No Executive lounge, no upgraded room. Nice view of the airport runway though.

Mercure Madrid Plaza de Espana

Drink voucher in theory usable for everything except champagne, to be used at the bar or the restaurant....except that there is neither bar nor restaurant (outside the breakfast one) :D. To be precise, there is a bar counter inside he breakfast restaurant but it is never open :rolleyes:
So you need to ask at the reception and they give you what they have (very limited of course) in their fridge in their back office. Of course you can have your drink at the reception but it's not really a place for that, so you go back to your room with your drink. :rolleyes:

Ibis Style Auckland, New Zealand: No Platinum recognition. When confronted, front desk hesitantly provided free internet vouchers (otherwise it is chargeable) and a breakfast snack box which apparently retails at NZ$10. No drinks provided (well, if you ignore the juice inside the snack box!)
