THanks, just could not get it to work ... Hotel managed to cancel the "non paid" reservation so 10/10 to them ....
Funny, as soon as they did this, the web site worked for me ! |
I've been trying to book a reservation for a week+ using my Amex and the site keeps saying:
We are sorry but your payment could not be done. Please verify your information and try again. |

(The "Accor website NOT accepting AMEX" thread is old, but Accor never really fixes things, do they?) |
On my last few bookings I noticed that Accor is showing me a chargeable “add breakfast” option even if my Diamond status would entitle me to free breakfast. I never select it of course. But I wonder if the hotels would amend this upon check-out or just charge me for something I shouldnt be charged for…
for example: booked Raffles Dubai on Saturday to Sunday (weekend in UAE) - prompted to add breakfast for a charge booked Fairmont Manila Suite with Gold access - prompted to add breakfast for an additional charge raffles Jakarta - prompted to add breakfast for additional charge |

When we've built websites that include a currency conversion, we've had an API to a conversion service, and they always included obsolete currencies in the service, but with an ability to filter them out. But I still don't understand the purpose of building the site with a different list by property, as that's just something that needs to be maintained, and for no apparent value. |

Back to having Amex issues again. Also my reservations page is crashing on multiple computers for me, in Safari and Chrome both.

My reservations were working yesterday. Just checked now, and it seems to be intermittently broken. Clicked on "Your Reservations" link, and it just spins and spins. Close browser, and try again, and same thing. Tried again, and it worked. Tried again, and it failed. Accor IT just doing what they do best!
Not sure how they don't have proper dev/testing at the size of company they are. |
