strand was aman. many official quotes and several first hand stays posted. was on aman website with aman's other historical properties that are no longer aman, and were dropped when colony controlled aman.

These are the three most beautiful hotels/restaurants I have ever been to, with food to match the surroundings which is unusual

india timing (including opening but not ending of manor)
feb 2002 - acquired lodhi, seems like JV (with DLF affiliate?)
nov 1 2003 - opened amanikhas and umaid bhawan
ikhas included 1 night at manor with driver through may 2004

lodhi change's timing was in line with 1st attempted sale of aman
they'd started using 'lodhi suites' as apartments/etc 1 year prior
the change ended up only 1 year before sale of aman did close

think aman still owns it ? i'd think they could do residences ?
