Our of DCA they are, and members of Congress and Senate are booked on multi flights between certain hours to ensure they get a fly out. I have flown out of DCA with one or two of Arizona's finest sitting either next to me or in front of me.

A few months ago I sat a row in front of Brad Garrett on the way to LAS. The guy sitting across the aisle from him (without saying a word to him) pulled out his phone, called his wife, and I heard this- "Honey, you wouldn't believe who is sitting next to me. You know the brother on Everybody Loves Raymond? No, not him, the other guy. The tall guy. Yeah, him. He is sitting next to me!". The guy eventually talked directly to him when we deplaned, but hearing that call had to have been really awkward. Garrett then sat at baggage claim with the rest of us (and his driver), but I didn't notice anyone else bother him.

Last week I had John Rocker (baseball bad guy), from PHL > DCA. Admittedly, I noticed his gorgeous girlfriend first, then had to see who she was with.
Yet another reason to ban all cell phone calls on airplanes!

Long time lurker on this site but never really posted. I had two fun celebrity sightings in my many years of US Air travel.

First, Larry Brown (PHL-ORD) while he was still coaching the 76ers. We chatted while in line to check in at the airport and then after he landed where he was waiting Mo' Cheeks' (assist coach at the time) father to pick him up in Chicago.

Second, Jeremy Roenick (PHL-LAX) while he was still with the Flyers. I was sitting right behind him and his wife who were in 1A/1C. It was very entertaining. First I was hearing his cell phone convo to someone complaining how his new skates were making him slow. And then had to listen to his wife talk about lots of other people and how much money they had and spent on beach houses, etc.

BDL last Friday afternoon, Lisa Thomas Laury (long-time Philly Ch. 6 news anchor) was waiting in the gate area for my flight to PHL. Didn't notice her board (and she wasn't in F), but I imagine she was going back to PHL like I was.

A few months ago I was on a flight from Philly to Lauderdale and sat next to the Geater with the Heater, the Boss with the Hot Sauce. I had no idea who he was but struck up a conversation when i asked him why everyone was thanking him while boarding. I kept having to use the head after some drinks and was calling him Heater the whole time. It was pretty funny looking back. I imagine he flys that route a lot. Buy his book!

On my first Envoy flight to London in January Viggo Mortensen was seated behind me. I had no idea who he was until I overhead someone calling his wife to say that Viggo Mortensen was sitting in the seat next to him.

Scott Stevenson was on CLT-BUF last night in F. You might not know him, but he made it known he was in Embalming Love... a Canadian "soft-core porn" from 10 years ago. FA & some others in his row had a good laugh about it and pulled up music videos with him on YouTube.

George Takei LAX-PHX. He was seated across from me in row 1... we had a nice chat while deplaning. He was a featured guest at the HRC dinner later that night. I was flying back to PHX to attend the same dinner!

Sat next to Charles Schumer (dem senator from NY) today on 2185, LGA-DCA. He called anyone that would listen (with his circa 1999 flip phone) to complain about today's NY Times article on immigration and how biased the paper is. That was after many grumblings on how US fills their planes (too many open seats in one area) and nearly telling at the FA when told his bag had to go overhead when in the bulkhead. He tried complaining saying that "they changed this rule and I can now keep my bag on my lap." FA stood their ground and put the bag up.

I sat behind Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals wide receiver) last night on a flight from CLT to PHX. He was in seat 1A on an A321 and kept his head down the entire time while everyone was boarding.
