I still don't understand the insane roundtrip requirement.

To my surprise, I received this offer only in addition it includes U & H fare classes and my choice of 2 free United Club passes or 1 regional. In all my questionnaires I always blast UA and the CO management. I did receive a questionnaire about if I was offered a status match to another airline and which one and number of flights on UA and AA. I currently have about 30,000 UA miles and wasn't planning on pursuing IK status. I have already exceeded 200,000 miles on AA mostly in paid F or B.

You don't think they want to get twice as much money?

Multicity is not half as much as roundtrip.
In many markets, one way is more than roundtrip.

Smile I completed the survey, blasted management and am an AA EXP now

I completed a survey last week, blasted management and have cut my UA travel almost in half and have moved to AA. I was shocked but happy. I have the majority of my travel for 2014 already booked on AA/US/AS. I will only be awarded double miles, not double PQM.

I received a similar offer. It was for double miles (not PQM). Same T&C.

I'm Platinum, but only making Gold this year.

Same here.

They either haven't noticed I have nothing booked past 100K (which I will clear on Sunday), or don't care. Probably the latter

They keep trying these targeted offers with slight variation.

1. March offer

2. April offer

3. May offer

4. June offer

Strange offer if 'targeted'. Why would they offer extra PQMS to someone who already is maximum status? I know one can get extra RPUS or GPUs but seems soft incentive.

Here we go again... no love here either. I never qualify for these promotions! Not my fault I've done more than 150,000 PQMs already this year.

I'm on right on track, both for PQM and PQD, for this time of year, though, and perhaps a bit ahead of where I was this time last year in terms of PQM--but with less spending.
I'm on track comparing the first two quarters of 2013 and 2014, but I have exactly one reservation booked for the remainder of the year. I guess the targeted offers don't notice that kind of drop off.

...Not sure about this

I'm probably 35k PQMs off and roughly $10-12k PQDs off (If there were PQDs) of where I was this time last year. The last promo from UA that I was eligible for was back in April. I haven't flown much since as I don't travel much in the summer and yet still nothing.

I have a bunch of trips planned for the Fall and I'm still on the edge of just unloading all of my miles or trying to make a run at maintaining some type of status.
