Lounge Location
IST International Terminal. Near Gate 220

Video walkthrough of the lounge made on 2016-05-25

IST TK Lounge Walkthrough - YouTube

Getting In

Opening Hours: 24 hrs per day

Entrances: 2 entrances - one in the main terminal, another from the far-left side of the check-in area of the airport with separate passport control, Only for TK Business Class passengers or TK Elite Plus in Y, but not Elite or other *G cards, you need to go through main passport control and enter from airside). Entry in the main terminal is done by automated gates. You need a boarding pass with your status on it, if that is not present, please ask the lounge matrons and they'll manually let you in. It is also necessary to consult the front desk if you're bringing a guest(s).

Dedicated entry from the check in area (far left side as you face security/immigration) is only open from 5am to 12am midnight, outside of those hours you must enter the main terminal first and use that entrance.

Prior noted in this wiki, was that there was three entrances, however that one is an exit only that can be found in the lower level of the lounge.

Bag Storage: There are lockers right next to the main entrance on both floors. Lockers are emptied at night.

Eligibility:
Business Class travellers on international flights operated by Turkish Airlines,
Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite Plus members (they may invite their families or one guest),
Star Alliance Gold members (they may invite one guest),
First and Business Class travellers on flights operated by Star Alliance member airlines.

Must travel on Turkish Airlines or Star Alliance

The lounge cannot be accessed through Priority Pass or by paying at the entrance. There are many other pay lounges at IST.

Multiple Entries:
If you're connecting and want to visit Istanbul, you can enter the lounge with your connecting BP, enjoy the lounge then go back to Immigration, enter Turkey, and come back to the lounge after your visit.

To go landside from the lounge: leave the lounge on the upper level and walk straight toward the food court. Just before the food court there is a set of stairs on the left (look for signs to the mosque) that takes you down to the arrival level, and then to the immigration counters.

IST lounge

Hi,

I was wondering what the timetable of the IST lounge is: is it open overnight?

Thank you.

Kitchens usually close around 01h00 so you only have fruits and a limited choice of drinks after that. They also close the entire level downstairs at that time.

Visited yesterday and agree the lounge is getting down in all ways. And I suspect no improvements are to be expected before the new airport opening.
Wear and tear starts to be evident, the religiously lack of food choice rotation is annoying (the ethnic corner delivers awful 'food'), wifi is slow and internet heavily censored.

But maybe it's just me feeling jaded after a few years. Whenever I guest a friend the "wow" effect is guaranteed, and call myself lucky once step out and see what the general terminal has become.

I was there last week, evening to 2am on outbound and again around breakfast time on the way back. There was a lot of people, but I managed to find a comfortable spot. Cleaning of tables was quick, choice of food was nothing special (I didn't sample the indian and then chinese food window), choice of beverages the same. Wifi was good for me, using Netflix, and the censured Wikipedia isn't really TK fault...
All in all is a decent lounge for me, not the best but surely better than a lot of others

PS. For the first time I tried the direct access from landside: very convenient!

This was going on at my table earlier this week. His "mate" kept a sofa "reserved" by placing his filthy shoes on it. I have to say I am getting really fed up with people treating the lounge like a hostel. That guy just plonked himself right opposite me and slept. TK really need to do something about this very odd behaviour.

I think they added a few more drink options - I saw Southern Comfort and Bacardi Carta Negra plus maybe something else - definitely more bottles on the table. Wi-fi worked OK - the generic TK / VISITTURKEY login/password still works

Agree the lounge may have slipped a bit but it's still one of the best *A business class lounges anywhere!

Was there last week. Very chaotic in the morning (06:30-08:00). Left IST and return later on in the afternoon at 2 PM. Very tranquil and much better! To my surprise, there was no wait for the bathroom on the lower floor, whilst 30 minutes wait upstairs. I immediately cancelled the booking upstairs and went downstairs for a shower. Much much nicer when there are fewer people at 2:00-4:30.

Will be transiting here in a few hours, could someone she'd light on whether the lounge matrons are able to change flights and handle ticket complications or is that best left to the transit desk ?

thanks !
