Does the automatic gate let you enter the lounge 2x with the same boardingpass?
(e.g. when going to the terminal for a few minutes and returning afterwards).

For the first time I will have a shortest possible overnight conection at IST, 8,5 hours which does not qualify for hotel (10h) and neither relaxroom (4-7hours).
I am elite+ flying Y. Ane bending of rules, experience, if I might access the relaxroom if lucky?
Any other good choices? It will be short for sleep anyway but too hard enough to dwell in the lounge all night

Check the other airport hotels as well. Very often, you'll get dirt cheap prices for decent hotels and most of them have airport shuttles. Last time I had a connection that didn't qualify for a hotel from TK I booked at the Holiday Inn for something like $50, got an upgrade with IHG Gold (this almost never happens!) and had a good time.

Are you in transit? Or you commence your journey in IST?
If in transit - I would say within 24 hours.
BTW... the lounge is nice but I am not sure, if it is worth spending more than 3-4 hours there. Also there is no hot food 1-6 am. Drinks (including booze), snacks, fruits are available 24/7.

You just need the boarding pass.
I'm sure if BPs were printable >24h in advance lot of people would live in that lounge.
No more rent to pay, bills and food.
An entire life eating meatballs and overcooked eggplant rigatoni. Paradise

Is there a TK wine thread like in the BA forum? I searched, but don't see one.

Well, the TAV airport hotel was full too. And I did ask upon arrival at the lounge if I was eligible for a hotel. They could check it and said no due to my flight transfer being 8;45hrs. Then I simply entered the lounge and went to the concierge to ask about the relax room and again they cordialy rejected due to transfer time again (should be 4-7hrs and LONGHAUL only).
So finally I did not mind all the immigration etc, but just slept in the lounge in the "angle-flat sofas", I got some sleep but woke up here and there and was surprised to see how crowded and busy the lounge was all night. Huh.
