The Skyloft website indicates 3 Guest Max on a 1 Bedroom loft
6 Guest Max. on a 2 Bedroom.
To my knowledge the Maybach`s will hold max 3 pax`s.
2 Rear. 1 Front.
I would NOT suggest this room for 2 couples. Maybe work if one night, one couple. Other night. The other couple. Fine to party and dine with all 4.
Has a great dinning room/bar. If my memory is correct. It seats 6.
But sleeping and showering ?
Just not what this room was intended/designed for. Its just too much "open glass walls". You might as well all be in the same bed and bath at once.
We had 20 Guests in different rooms at the MGM for my G-Friends B-Day.
The staff was more than happy to work with us.
At one point we had about 10 lovely ladies in the loft.
We also had the main Birthday party in a Terrace Suite at the MGM.
No problem. The skylofts butler was very attending. The side party in the loft was a wonderful time. The girls are still talking about it.

thanks bltserv, I looked on mgm's site, and on some days, the 1 bedroom loft can be had for less than 700, and the 2 bedroom just about double the 1 bedroom's rate. I guess I can hope that when the "need" arise, the rate will be towards this end vs. the other. Can you confirm the Maybach transfers during booking, ie, so that I want to be fairly sure about getting that perk for my arrival/departure?
Yeah, after re-reading your room description, I figure it'd be pretty weird with 2 couples in the 1 bedroom loft...
Sounds like a neat way to blow 600-1000 a night though, comparable to Bora Bora Nui
Lets Maybach, or snorkeling off your deck.... decisions decisions. Then again, getting to LAS is a lot cheaper than getting to PPT.

When you book the Skyloft you will get a E-mail from your concierge.
They will get your Flight info a week or so before you arrive.
Driver will be there when you come downstairs at LAS.
The Maybach is awesome. 500HP Limo. Its like my Mercedes CL on steroids.
Concierge will also ask if you want to make any show or dinner reservations.
We went to Celine. She got us great seats even though it was not a
MGM property and it was sold out. The concierge greeted us on arrival with champagne and took us upstairs to the 29th floor and checked us in.
The moment you get to the 29th floor. Service is ready and willing to get you
anything.
If you are going to "Do Vegas" and want to have a blast in a great room. This is for you. Just relax and have a great time. Its worth the $$$.

MGM Skylofts
I have just come across the skylofts and this board as well. Have been to vegas several times and never knew about the skylofts. Anyway, my question is, is there anything else in vegas comparable to the skylofts? I saw someone mention the venezia concierge, but that it wasnt up to par with the skylofts. Just looking to splurge on next trip out and going all out!!!
Thanks in advance for the info.

Mirage Suites rack rates also offer complimentary limo (stretched but not Maybach) but there is where the similarity ends. You get to use the VIP check-in if the main check-in is full (no in-suite check-in or separate reception area) and the suites are of a much older period - still very nice.
Like the old fashion tele that pops out from the end of the bed. Priority booking for shows at the Mirage (only Danny Gans at the moment since the Cirque du Soleil's Yellow submarine has yet to open).
There is no bulter or free drinks in fridge like the Skyloft but in an old-style charm way very nice indeed.
And its about less than half the price of the Mirage.
It is the closest match I am aware to the Skyloft but personally, I have up-graded myself to the Skyloft too. Thankfully, I can just about afford it.

After talking to most of the drivers on our visits.
Not that many people tip them.
They consider the Maybach part of the package.
Most people that are on the "higher end" are really stingy.
FYI:
The 18% applies to "all room service" items. So think about that if you are going to tip the butler. Leave him something at the end of your visit is more
common and acceptable.
I usually tipped about $ 50.00 per Maybach trip
What a normal limo would cost us. And the drivers will make a
side trip and really help out when they know you better.
The Maybach ride is a gas. One of the finest and deceptively
faster cars in the world.
If its daytime
Make sure you use the LCD overhead sun shade.
Bring some champagne and put it in the rear fridge between the seats.
Heads will turn at the airport when you load up in that car.
Enjoy

When I stayed at Skylofts, I was a bit confused about tipping (although I had sent bltserve some questions in advance and he provided good advice).
I tipped the Maybach driver $40 for the trip from the airport to MGM Grand. The Maybach wasn't available on the way back, so the trip back to the airport was in a limo, and I think I tipped the limo driver $30. (It did occur to me that the tips were more than a cab ride would have been, but hey.)
Once arriving at MGM Grand, a concierge meets you and takes you up to your loft for check-in. After check-in, I didn't tip the concierge (I didn't really think about it, as I was excited about arriving at the room and tired after a long flight), but later I wondered if the concierge was expecting a tip. bltserve: what do you do?
Immediately after the concierge checks you in, the butler provides a tour of the loft. This was the only time I saw the butler, as I never used butler service for the remainder of the week. I was a little confused about tipping etiquette here, too. I wasn't sure if I should tip the butler right after the tour, or later in the week, and I wasn't sure where to leave the tip. I must admit tipping kind of confuses me, especially in a Skylofts kind of scenario.
I did leave money each morning for housekeeping and most evenings for turndown service, and tipped the bellman $10 when he delivered my single bag.
I'll be returning to Skylofts in December, so I'll have an opportunity to be confused about tipping once again.

Most of the Asian high rollers do not tip at all, as it is not their custom. Americans love to tip out of guilt and the service people appreciate it of course. I suggest tipping the minimum you can get away with as anything less than an outrageous sum won't be met with any more than a weak smile anyway.
When I ride in the Meybach I tell the driver he ought to tip me. Seriously, $10 for the two-mile ride between MGM and the airport is more than enough no matter how expensive the car is. It's not like the driver is making the payments.
I don't tip the butler above the 18% autograt. I don't tip the concierge. I don't tip housekeeping unless I drink too much and barf all over the linens. I give the bellman $5-10. I give cocktail waitresses $1-5 for a drink. I give waiters 20% up to $30/person.
I haven't been murdered in my sleep yet. YMMV.

Tip more than $1 for drinks (if you would like the waitress to return). Admittedly this was at the slots rather than the tables, at MGM a year ago.
I suspect you will not stay long ordering drinks with the plebs on the main floor of the MGM if you're living large and doing the Skylofts!
So, what kind of Dom, Krug or other nice bubbly is on offer in the SkyLofts?

We were in the waterfall tub and called the Butler to bring 2 bottles of
French Veuve Clicquot. Normally about $ 40.00 Ea. at Costco/BevMo.
Total was $ 109.00 per Bottle with tip. So your math is right on.
We brought our own Magnum back to the loft last trip.
Got it at Paris LV for about $ 130.00.

Having A Party In SkyLoft
I was just wondering if anyone could answer my question of having a party/gathering in the 2 Bedroom Skyloft.
I was planning on having my birthday celebration there in Las Vegas and was planning on staying at a 2 Bedroom Skyloft. Is it difficult to bring guests up to show off the room and hang out? I'm not trying to throw a wild party, but more of a gathering to hang out and have drinks. I'd say about maybe 30 people. Only of 4 of us would be staying in the room as the other guests are either staying at MGM as well or other hotels. I just don't know how strict it is to bring guests up... of course it wouldn't be all 30 at one time... just as they arrive. Would love to know if they constantly watch you come up and "count" the people that are with you.
thanks for any help.
