Most of the Asian high rollers do not tip at all, as it is not their custom. Americans love to tip out of guilt and the service people appreciate it of course. I suggest tipping the minimum you can get away with as anything less than an outrageous sum won't be met with any more than a weak smile anyway.

When I ride in the Meybach I tell the driver he ought to tip me. Seriously, $10 for the two-mile ride between MGM and the airport is more than enough no matter how expensive the car is. It's not like the driver is making the payments.

I don't tip the butler above the 18% autograt. I don't tip the concierge. I don't tip housekeeping unless I drink too much and barf all over the linens. I give the bellman $5-10. I give cocktail waitresses $1-5 for a drink. I give waiters 20% up to $30/person.

I haven't been murdered in my sleep yet. YMMV.
