Dandelion Wonderland of the Eden Valley Riesling 2017, Eden Valley, South Australia
Riesling was first planted in the shallow, rocky soils of the Eden Valley, high in the Barossa ranges, in the early 1850's and time has revealed this place to be a natural home for Riesling. Elena Brooks Dandelion Chief Winemaker has produced a wine with a precise palate with clean citrus fruit flavours of mandarin, lemon, pomelo and lime. This is a well constructed wine with a long finish.

Gembrook Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Yarra Valley, Victoria
Ian and June Marks decided that this vineyard was ideal for cool climate Sauvignon Blanc and went on to produce one of the most elegant examples of the varietal in Australia. Sensitivity in the vineyard develops exotic tropical fruits, balancing them with savoury herbs and wild currant leaf. A deft hand in the winery results in gentle texture and weight making this a mineral wine with true finesse.

Penfolds Bin 17A Chardonnay 2017, Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Hailing from Penfolds' birth place in the Adelaide Hills, the Bin 17A is truly one of their greatest triumphs. This wine consistently wins trophies at domestic wine shows, and at international competitions like the Cellars in the Sky competition. This chardonnay walks the line between power and freshness like none other, and today it continues to get better and better.

Red

Giant Steps Applejack Pinot Noir 2018, Yarra Valley, Victoria
Giant Steps has rightfully established itself as a premier producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Australia, in the Yarra Valley with an impressive spread of single vineyard wines. The Applejack Vineyard has been at the centre of effort, and consistently delivers bright, ethereal Pinot Noir with wonderful balance and energy. The 2018 harvest was a cooler year accentuating the top-end perfume of this beloved grape.

Levantine Hill Syrah 2015, Yarra Valley, Victoria
For a young winery, Levantine Hill are producing some sophisticated styles that are beautiful expressions of the region. All grapes are harvested, sorted and plunged by hand. Coming from a cool climate, this Shiraz presents medium bodied and savoury, abundant with characters drawn from the earth. Subtle yet complex, underlying oak carries the fruit weight for a lingering finish.

Woodlands "Matthew" Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Margaret River, Western Australia
Each year the Woodlands Cabernet Sauvignon is named after a different Watson family member. The wine is produced from the same vines that were planted over 50 years ago in Margaret River by the Watson family in 1973. This is an elegant, medium to full-bodied wine, with a lovely mix of blackcurrant, mulberry and dark cherry. The palate has fine, tight tannins and structural finesse.

Wine List

Champagne

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2007, Champagne, France
The prestige cuvee of Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne first appeared in 1952. A Blanc de Blanc, the Chardonnay grapes are sourced from prized vineyards including Grand Cru sites in Avize and Cramant. The 2006 is a powerful, refined and expressive Champagne, this vintage is showing citrus fruit aromas, lime blossom and notes of caramelised grapefruit. It has a great length and complexity and is a perfect wine to begin a fine meal, yet could be enjoyed throughout.

White

Heemskerk Riesling 2017, Tasmania
Heemskerk is a boutique winery located in Tasmania's Coal River Valley devoted to producing contemporary wines from ancient soils. This Riesling is a blend of two great vineyards presenting lifted aromatics of white flowers and citrus blossom. As a delicate expression of what can be an austere varietal, the palate is soft and plush with beautiful acidity and length.

Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay 2016, Tasmania
Toldpuddle is Shaw and Smith's venture into the cooler climates of Tasmania and the results are evolving with every harvest. The 2016 vintage is an outstanding example of Australian Chardonnay and showcases the beautiful, modern style that is creating new fans worldwide. This wine is well toned, with white peach, grapefruit and toasted almond notes and the aroma is so intense that you will find something new every time you swirl the glass. The palate has great structure and length.

Red

Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017, Tasmania
Tolpuddle Vineyard was established in 1988 in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. The 2017 Pinot Noir is ruby red with crimson tints at the rim. A beautifully scented wine., with hints of blueberry, cedar and Chinese five spice. The palate is light on it's feet, with a firm core of fruit and a layered texture.

Henschke Keyneton Euphonium Shiraz 2015, Barossa Valley, South Australia
In addition to the 150 years of winemaking that the Henschke family has given to the Barossa and Eden Valleys, the Henschke Family Brass Band was an early fixture based in the Barossa town of Keyneton. Fittingly, this wine is blend of parts similar to a symphony. It merges Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc sourced from both the Eden and Barossa valleys, and aged in a variety of barrel sizes and sources.

Woodlands "Russell" Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Margaret River, Western Australia
Each year the Woodlands Cabernet Sauvignon is named after a different Watson family member. The wine is produced from the same vines that were planted over 50 years ago in Margaret River by the Watson family in 1973. This is an elegant, medium to full-bodied wine, with a lovely mix of blackcurrant, mulberry and dark cherry. The palate has fine, tight tannins and structural finesse.

Wine List

Champagne

Piper Heidsieck Rare Millesime 2002, Champagne, France
This, the prestige cuvee from Piper Heidsieck is a deeply intense wine with a flavour that lingers for many moments. The nose expresses itself with hazelnuts, white flowers and stone fruit while the palate fills with rich, but delicate flavours. It's the acidity that keeps this champagne fresh and leaves you needing more.

White

Dandelion Wonderland of the Eden Valley Riesling 2017, Eden Valley, South Australia
Riesling was first planted in the shallow, rocky soils of the Eden Valley, high in the Barossa ranges, in the early 1850's and time has revealed this place to be a natural home for Riesling. Elena Brooks Dandelion Chief Winemaker has produced a wine with a precise palate with clean citrus fruit flavours of mandarin, lemon, pomelo and lime. This is a well constructed wine with a long finish.

Shaw + Smith Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Sauvignon Blanc's global consumption is on decline. It's not a wine people are excited to drink, and that's because not everyone has had this wine from Shaw and Smith. This wine finds the narrow delicious window between the slight herbaceous character of Sauvignon Blanc, its bright citrus forward fruit profile, and its ability to push forward minerality on the palate. This Sauvignon Blanc is just right.

Red

Giant Steps Nocton Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018, Yarra Valley, Victoria
The 2018 vintage blessed the Yarra Valley with a pristine Pinot Noir harvest. The fruit is clear, tansparent and beautiful. Over the top you'll find rose flowers and a slight seasoning of oak toast to round out this pure and beautiful expression of Pinot Noir.

Dessert

De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon 2016, Riverina, New South Wales
One of Australia's truly iconic wines. The 2016 Noble One is golden in colour, with aromas of citrus, marmalade and a hint of vanilla. The palate is left with a ripe long finish and beautifully balanced acidity delivers a perfect wine to enjoy with dessert or cheese.
