Initial reaction to flying Lufthansa vs. ANA, well ANA is more like Ferrari and Lufthansa is more like a Mercedes, they are both great but one is still better than the other.
Door were closed at 9:36, flight was originally 4/8 but with 1 no-show in F, me in 2A, the other 2 F pax in 1K/2K and the slow 388 pushback began shortly.

Thanks for a wonderful flight yesterday, ANA

Ok...So I've kept with you until now... How did you route LHR-NRT-FRA-BKK? If LHR-NRT-FRA counts sounds like an intra Europe award to me.

Thanks for the continual reading dat4life
Nah it's multiple award/paid stuff, wouldn't that be a dosy, would become the best intra Europe reward ever if it were possible.

Frankfurt Main Airport

Lufthansa First Class Check-In

Think I’m pushing the limit of carry-on travel, even in First Class

*The pull-string bag was filled with flight goodies (amenity kits/pajamas/slippers)
And for LH, scores of Lufthansa Rubber Ducky

I know many will ask me, why didn’t I check-in over at the First Class Terminal?
Well, with the completion of the new A gates at the airport, I really wanted to try out the new First Class Lounge prior to heading over to the FCT.

I need that bubble bath and the duckies have come to join me

In the meantime, I didn’t eat at the lounge. What
Well even SHF has a limit ok, but I was available to get the concierge’s help in locating a book I wanted to pick up prior to the flight.
She had to call around a couple places in the airport but eventually was able to locate an airport shop who has stocked it.
Great work by the LH A FCL concierge ^

And around 6pm, I bid farewell to the very helpful concierge and made my way to the First Class Terminal.

Did something happen in the terminal just as I was leaving, what’s with line of Polizei Vans

In a complete reversal to the wonderful FCL Concierge I had earlier, the FCT Concierge was absolutely horrendous. Rigid, lying and other terms I cannot write publicly on the TR.
I had merely indicated if possible, I would like to board early for the BKK flight if possible since it will be my 1st time on the Neue First.
For someone with a light background in flight operations, a simple “Sir I’ll try but we might not have that many cars” would have been an adequate response.
And maybe it’s my “Young-Un” clothes I was wearing that day, t-shirts, semi-torn shorts, and flip flops, the whole 9 yeads.
He decided to tell me off, sir your flight is very full. That was except I had checked the loads at the A FCL less than 20 mins ago, was 4/8.

Don’t know what made my blood boil that day but that pushed me over the edge so I call him out “Sir, please do not lie to my face, I know for the fact that load currently is 4/8 and I know Lufthansa is still selling First Class Seats at this time for my flight”
He naturally asks how did I get this info, so I “You don’t need to know how I get this info or how exactly I have access in the loads and inventory system. What you need to know is I am a First Class passenger today and I don’t need to be lied upon blatantly like this”

Well that event plus it took me over 20 minutes to track him down to get a document printed while in the FCT really diminish my views of the FCT.
Don’t think I’ve ever had a Customer rep that has try to pull that crap on me before.
He was quite reserved with me later on in the FCT, and he also try to tell me off on photos, as you can see, I didn’t give a crap at that point…

*I stayed away from the water with the mint leaves after, tasted really weird…

And after a 15 Minute taxi and wait, were finally airborne off Runway 7C at 10:38pm
