Finally posted after sending them nearly 5 emails back and forth. Initially, they wanted to deny me the bonus, saying my American Eagle online purchase transaction was made invalid by American Eagle, but after repeatedly telling them that my AE miles were properly posted without any retraction, and expressing my anger and threatening to never use Cartera and the AAdvantageShopping portal again, they finally replied saying they valued my loyalty as a customer and would be crediting the 2000 bonus AA miles as a courtesy. Jeez.
I never received my bonus so I emailed them again a few weeks ago. They responded the same day and gave me the 2000 points. In the description is says Courtesy Credit: AA September Bonus.
