Fat Wallet has posts today of OD's being told to destroy beans cards and posters saying they were told cash or debit only for them now at many stores

Smoke screen, but it might be toxic...report from one of my underlings says that the beans were all in the employee shelving/locked and they had several boxes. The employee didn't know why they were up there, but he opened a box and handed quite a few out. Now might be the time to hoard and stash em under your mattresses!

I haven't tried reloading it at a store outside of where they offer it yet.
You used to be able to load it with the store GC, but now management is disallowing that. I'm not sure if register will block you though. Was a great way to get 2x off grocery cards.
Some people reported being able to load with regular (MC, Visa) GCs, so perhaps you can leverage 5x this way.
Honestly, after this last reload, I think I might ditch it. I don't have Inks, and 2x isn't really worth it to me. A lot of fees, effort and hassle compared to other options.
Some cards come with a coupon to waive the initial load fee.

...anddd they're off!...
Then again, who am I kidding? I have a family and there's NO way I am going to visit some far off city during T Day week to stand in line in a cold and unfamiliar box store... is there?

Yes, people have done what some call "pushing things" and gotten shut down.
Well I just ordered mine in the store so I guess I'm floating $500 for the next 3.5 weeks and then I will try it and probably report here that it got flubbed up by some strange anomaly that only happens to me and then cancel it in Feb lol
Yes. I had a hell of a time trying to get my identity verified. The card automagically showed up after a month since I originally got it.

Seems that I'm unable to load over $15k onto my NetSpend card (with vr), has anyone successfully spent more than $15k on their NetSpend card (or loaded more than $15k as well for that matter).
Thanks in advance, feel free to PM.
