The fare is about 50% higher than economy.
Miles to AA : 150% rdm and it might be eqm if they join "one world" by than.
The fare on MX web site is better than on any of the other travel web sites. ( orbitz ,
expedia , travelocity etc. )

Michael
FYI, MX is joining OW on 10 November 2009.

wow, just calculated out it earns 56812 miles (55K+) thats really cheap!

also, CO matched, but a lot less miles via HOU.

cheapest coach at $92++ OW

Even over Christmas (Dec 18-27) the first/business class fare is $720 on AA.

Thank you for bringing up the lack of refundability - I was focusing so hard on making sure that the fare was good enough to post here that I forgot to note that. I'm just glad that my first post to this thread was worthwhile!

Nearly. BD is, as Mr. Bean says, bmi. Diamond Club is bmi's FF programme. It is on the generous side when it comes to earning miles on most premium fares with most *A partners. Once you clear 55,000 miles in a year that generosity doubles. Full details in the excellent BD forum stickies.

Hi steve.
I went back to MEXICANA.COM to check how I made my reservation.
First and most important : I found that the fare I quoted is for seniors(+62).I am a senior.
The adult fare ( GO BUSINESS ) is US$ 1599.40 a/i .
Now , how to find the fare.
On MEXICANA.COM , change language to ENGLISH.
Click on ELITE CLASS
Enter the flight info .Click "continue"
The next window will show you a lot of available dates with the fare ( before taxes)
When you continue , making your choices , you will see under FARE TYPE the name
GO BUSINESS
I hope this info is helpfull.

Michael
(I am a CHELSEA fan and go to Stamford Bridge any chance I have )
