I thought "I-class" referred to the best quality paid-for companions?

I'm seeing the A330 CAI-BKK in March at least, which actually has decent J seats.

That link seems broken now.

Dumb question, but does it say it's an ATH-only fare somewhere? I see that's what previous posters have cited, and it's the only city that the fare-search box on the promo page will accept. But odd that it's not mentioned.

Edited to add:

(Poked around more, and it looks like it's supposed to be wherever they fly. But I can't get a result for anything, just using the basic search box on the home page and the promo code--it just bounces me back to the promo page.)

Yes, it's an offer currently available only from ATH. Emirates occasionally runs similar offers from other markets.

Go to http://www.emirates.com/gr/English/ and click on the "Special Companion Fares" icon, or find these fares via Destinations & Offers/Special Offers

AA/DL to Central/South America

AA has released nice D fares to Central America (PTY/SJO/LIR/BZE/etc) and Ecuador (UIO/GYE) from major US cities (NYC/WAS/CHI/SFO/LAX/etc) for travel thru April 30.

3 day min stay
Ecuador fares are ~900 all in.
~700 for Central Am fares.

DL has matched fares to Central America (I fare).

Routing possibilities are good on AA, esp for hub-hopping.
Example:
SFO-JFK-MIA-UIO

AA allows 1 free stopover in each direction as well.

Great find! Note that this is a refundable fare too!

Just bought a DFW-PTY trip that I needed to take anyway for $730 AI.

Have a LAX-BOG and SFO-UIO on hold trying to figure out if it's worth doing as a run. The geography of trying to force a JFK/MIA double connect each direction means an overnight in either JFK or MIA. On the plus side the 763 is available SFO-JFK.

By my math SFO-JFK-MIA-UIO each way comes out to 10,926 BIS/EQM for the RT and 16,389 EQP. Roughly 5.4 cents per EQP. Perhaps not that great when you factor in forced hotel overnights. Although earning EQPs sitting in premium cabins certainly counts for something...

I have not seen any good matches on DL yet, by the way. DL match looks to be very limited and at a higher fare...

Per the discount code thread over on the AA board, promo code 5841BY may take 5% off flights to BOG from 4/10-4/24.

If anything, it's good for a nice trip south.. or AA challenge.
