Just called. 140K bonus code definitely still active, but told a decision will take 10 days. Is that a polite rejection?

Not necessarily. Call (888) 609-7805 and request that your RC card be expedited. If there's a hitch in your gitalong (such as needing to move credit around, address confirmation, etc), they'll iron it out.

RC Card

How are you folks calling and getting considered for the 140,000 point card?

Tried and was told you need 12 digit specific code

ErthCrclr and raccah, thank you. I called, and to my surprise was told there was nothing to discuss as I had already been approved and the card was on the way.

Question on Gold status: Account terms state that Gold status is active for the first 12 billing cycles of having the card (then can be renewed by spending $10k)...however, I don't see how this works with MR's February expiration (for all?). I got the card in June, so it seems I should have gold until June 2015, but Gold card expiration is showing 02/2015.

Anyone have experience with this? We are planning on staying 7 nights at JW Marriott Orlando, starting 2/28/15!

When you call for credit, they ask you what the expenditure was for. (At least in my experience.) Are you asking whether anyone has gotten away with buying gift cards, admitting they did so, and getting the credit? Or are you asking whether you can buy gift cards, claim it is something else, and get away with it?

I think the answer to the first is almost certainly no, since the terms and conditions are pretty clear. I think the answer to the second is yes, but it's up to you and your own comfort level with respect to what you're willing to say.

Can I use one of the upgrades for the Ritz-Carlton ClubŪ Level if I book with AX FHR? With the stay 3 pay for 2 offer with AX FHR it'd be great to be able to use the upgrades to Club.

No, you have to call and book with Ritz Carlton directly.

I haven't not purchased any GC's, I did however purchase a lounge pass on United for $50. The transaction on Chase doesn't say anything about it being a lounge pass (which is covered). I requested reimbursement on the charge and received it. This time, I was not questioned as to what the charge was for.

How many Marriott/Ritz-Carlton points do you need again for the 1:1 airline/hotel redemption?
