Experience from 3 or 4 years ago (so not recent, apologies!) departing DEL in LX F was similar. A personal escort from check-in to the lounge, but she basically dropped me off at the queue for outbound immigration, which was about an hour long.
She said she'd come get me at the lounge in time for the flight, but I got antsy and just walked over a little early myself.

Immigration has lifted all privileges of the LX/LH PAs in DEL. Hence they are powerless. That said immigration lines are never that long in DEL. For security they have a good eye to take you where the line/speed is most convenient. LX uses the 'Allways' lounge in DEL, which is in the space formerly reserved for Jet Airways just before LH/SQ. You can also ask for the PP lounge, for which the checkin desk has to issue a voucher.

Same experience, three PAs for F8, fourth PA arriving late but most F pax already well on their way to immigration/passport control by then. Separate F/C immigration counters and no queues when first pax arrived.

Door 1L exit for F, 2L for C/Y pax, enforced by vigorously keeping the curtain closed also helped.

The PAs will also wait with pax at the baggage belt and accompany them through customs, into the arrivals hall and to the exit. They are happy to assist with local transport if required (though I would recommend to arrange that well before...).

Never say never...

Huge queues for passport control on departure, the LX PAs "worked the system" and got me through the Diplomatic Passport line in about 15 minutes. Followed by the Crew security check and to the lounge. Added to the queues to enter the departure hall, I would say around 40 minutes for me between car drop-off and entering the lounge, probably double that for other pax.

LX F allows a choice between the Allways lounge, the LH lounge and the SQ SilverKris lounge, chose SQ (also a *G lounge) and it was nearly empty.

PA came to the lounge before boarding and arranged a buggy to cover the 1.5 km trek to the gate. Well, almost to the gate as it appeared that we had to get off the buggy before coming in viewing range of supervisors etc.

True priority boarding, F pax first, then C, SEN and *G. The family & friends of crew who got "upgraded" to F boarded with Y.

Kudos to the PAs, great job on departure!

Flying to HKG with OS in a couple of weeks with Ms Worldhopper. 1) what kind of ground service to expect upon arrival/departure and 2) which lounge is recommended?

Flying to GRU in January in F

AMS-ZRH-GRU (Connection in ZRH is 1h 15min)

Can I expect a Car that brings me to the E gates?

Other option, going to the F Lounge in A and ask to get driven to the E gates?

what would you suggest?

If you like to enjoy a bit of time in the E lounge, then taking the Heidi train on Arrival in ZRH will probably give you the most time there.

AMS usually gets a finger gate in ZRH, and flying in C you'll be out as the first one. Assuming on time arrival, it will take you about 10-15min to the F lounge in E by taking the Heidi train (no security but passport control) - if you instead make your way to the A lounge, you'll get a Limo ride to E, but they usually have you share your transport, plus it might take a bit of waiting time (not that FCL A is terrible, but that might seriously cut into your lounge time in E, which is definitely superior) - and might mean you only arrive in E a couple minutes before boarding.

For the "ride experience", going to the FCL A is better. For having enough time for a proper dinner / lounge experience in E, taking the Heidi train is better, imho.

Already know the E FCL from my last trip. Probably the best.
Do you think if the Flight from AMS is on time there is enough Time to hop in there to have a Drink?

(Curious to see if the super sweet girl still works there )

This being a dead year in terms of earning status, I decided to try EK & was very pleased with the chauffeur service (drop and pickup). Not sure if LH offers any such service to HON at the German airports but it would be nice to see them offering service to HON & SEN traveling in J or F.

If your arrival is more or less on time, you'll have ample time to enjoy the E lounge IF you go there directly (ie, by the public train) - plus, you can actually leave E when you like, not like with A when they're telling you "it's now time to take the shuttle car"

One can always dream.. but this ain't gonna happen. Stick with EK if you like that service (I certainly do )

If your flight is operated by F100 or E190 there is a good chance of an apron position and that means a car (via A for passport control) to E for F/HON pax flying out from E most of the time.

If not then as YuropFlyer says it is A lounge and a possible wait for a car to E, or the train to E. In terms of time it should not make much difference but if you go to the A lounge first you will have passport control at the private booth at the bottom of A. For me that would make the difference because of the evening bank departures from E (GRU, HKG, JNB, SIN, TLV) and the possible longer passport queues. Of course, longer is all relative as normal is less than 5 minutes and a longer queue could be 10 minutes...

Apron position doesn't mean a car at ZRH unless you're arriving from GVA. You'll get a C-class bus (assuming you're in C) with everyone else to the terminal and make your own way to FCL A or E from there.

I have to disagree with the above here.
Flew LX feeder to ZRH in J connecting to ZRH-HKG in F a few months back.
Arriving at an apron position we had a limo waiting to take us to the terminal.
Solid service ^

Did you had a short connection? Were you driven directly to E terminal because of that? (as the Business bus drops everyone at A)

Otherwise, the Business bus is a perfectly fine solution in my opinion. You'll be VERY fast at the "root" of Terminal A (faster than had you arrived at A84 or something like that) and within minutes on either the Heidi train or in the FCL/SEN A.

Either short connection or lucky as this isn't the process. I've specifically asked the lounge dragons a number of times and they say (with ferocity) "Only if ze connection is very short, or arrival is from Geneva"
