According to http://airlineroute.net/2015/02/24/l...ca-s15update2/

Lufthansa has further revised planned operation to West Africa, which will now begin from 01JUN15. For Malabo, Day 13 service operates via Lagos, Day x13 via Accra. These replaces current Abuja stop.
LH568 FRA1110 – 1640LOS1725 – 1850SSG 333 13
LH562 FRA1110 – 1535ACC1620 – 1910SSG 343 x13

LH569 SSG2005 – 2130LOS2240 – 0610+1FRA 333 13
LH563 SSG2025 – 2110ACC2240 – 0715+1FRA 343 x13

Overall service to Lagos and Accra remains unchanged at 7 and 5 weekly level. However schedule change will be in effect.

For service to Port Harcourt, flight will operate via Abuja instead of Lagos on daily basis.

LH594 FRA1110 – 1615ABV1700 – 1810PHC 333 D
LH595 PHC1950 – 2100ABV2210 – 0525FRA 333 D

LH to discontinue PNQ

According to airlineroute.net reports, LH will be discontinuing service to PNQ from this winter. With this LH will have withdrawn from 3 cities in India - HYD, CCU and PNQ. HYD and CCU can be blamed on EK et al, but not PNQ, as there is no EK, EY or QR service to this city.

PNQ is restricted to B737 only, I suppose the contract with Privatair was up for renewal and VW in Pune didn't want to pay for the higher rates @:-)

According to http://airlineroute.net/2015/04/20/lh-pti-w15cxld/

LH are stopping all Privatair flights

Lufthansa at the end of summer 2015 traffic program is ending operations served by Privatair, which currently operates Frankfurt – Dammam and Frankfurt – Pune, 3 and 4 times a week respectively. Privatair operates Boeing 737-800 aircraft for Lufthansa.

As a result of ending this offering, Lufthansa will end service to Pune, while Dammam will be reduced from 7 to 4 weekly (A330 operation).

That is terrible. PNQ is my home airport. I'm extremely disappointed. Pune is a German hub. In fact, after the Hanover fair where India was a partner, I was expecting a daily flight to PNQ.

Very very sad.

... and with B744 instead of A343. Could the tag to SGN possibly be reinstated?

Amazing news ! I hope that LX will follow.

I talked to LH sales rep last month she told me that they had an huge sales drop with the day flight. Especially in Y class with Thai group customers. Most of time their travel agent is selling a full package tour to Europe and the day flight is making them charging for an additional night.

Also I just emailed LH BKK office here is their reply :
Thank you for your email. And yes Lufthansa will change to night flight in this winter.
As we were informed, flight schedule will start to change from October and so on.

Well... if the oh-so-great LH managers that decided on a day flight would have done even the slightest research, they would have seen it won't fly well..

But yeah, it's Lufthansa.. the airline that thinks it always knows best

Well, LH group fly to BKK three times a day. (LH,OS,LX).
They have done so for over 50 years now. I guess things can't be that bad after all.
BKK ist still one of the busiest destinations: within the top 10 airports worldwide in 2015. (Tourism is picking uo again from last year, mainly China and India though)

There is hope for LH. The impact of changes is assessed and corrected when needed.
