LANPASS VISA KM: Usable?
I'm considering applying for the USBank LANPASS VISA with 48,000 KM. My daughter lives in Santiago, so I'd use the miles for her travel IF they're actually redeemable.
My only experience with award travel on LAN is that I can never find any using my AA miles. What's the experience like on LAN to/from SCL and the USA?

AA has perennial (intermittent?) trouble with LAN awards.
LAN's own website can be a bit unpredictable, but not to the same degree as there are problems with AA (attempts at) award bookings on LAN.

Btw, please remember that LAN kms expire in 3 years at the end of the calendar year. So in my case, even though I applied for a LANPASS VIsa in November, I waited until the start of January's statement cycle before I started using, so that I'd have an extra year before expiration. The only current way to extend expiration is with a paid booking of a LAN flight (and I don't know whether codeshare's with a LAN flight number count or not).

I usually see more US-SCL on AA/LAN than US-EZE/MVD. Sometimes LA will remove those seats (7) after few days, you will have more chances if you book 331 days in advance (using AA miles), or check LAN.com, you will find more seats using LANPASS KMs on the lower level.
